  • Verizon to start $50B bond offering tomorrow - report [View news story]
have held VZ for a while and to me it seems like VOD had them by the short hairs in this deal. it seems overvalued. I may too decide to exit the stock...

On the flip side with telecom going more and more mobile VZ would be poised to reap ALL THE SPOILS as the market continues to grow. They have by far the best wireless network out there.

  • Just How Reasonable Is A Free Amazon Smartphone? Apple Provides The Answer [View article]
Not to rock the boat as I too feel like this is a stupid idea.. but would the sales be solely based on content or would they also push their normal online purchases for durable goods through the amazon marketplace as well? I know that I spend at least 4-5k a year on amazon and love the prime service. I also think the stock is overvalued and ripe for a huge pull back. question is when.... already lost the short battle once.

  • Intel Mobile: No Credibility On The Street [View article]
Next lets short Microsoft and Apple... they have both fallen behind the curve as well so they must be headed down...

this article is stupid and I now feel dumber for actually reading the whole thing...

  • Annaly Capital - Where Do We Go From Here? [View article]
Its pretty darn simple. there are good times to buy and bad. buying NLY 6 or 9 months ago would be terrible timing. As long as you believe NLY has no chance of going bust and will continue in a reasonable range it has proven to be a very good long term hold over a long period of time. But why buy at 15 and collect .64$ when you can buy it at 11$??

The most important thing to realize when investing is the right time to sell. there are plenty of stocks that i will hold in theory forever - and reinvest the dividends. And then there are some that present good buying opportunities - rise dramatically and should be sold... i would have banked nearly a 50% profit when his first article came out, I should have at least trimmed my position but instead road it down to sitting at a mid teens gain. I also held onto AGNC which has been an even worse ride.

  • Reap The Rewards Of Exxon's Dividend For The Long Run [View article]
became an investor in XOM 2 yrs via DSP of 1,000$ a month. at this point XOM is one of my largest holdings. I will probably suspend any future buys. I had high hopes for growth of their dividend but it appears they favor share repurchases which seem to do little for the share price versus dividend increases. On the other hand COP has paid off Handsomely. Reading all the other people who have held on for the long haul gives me some faith that buying XOM is a good choice.

  • Prospect Capital Benefits From Rising Rates [View article]
I hold BKCC and PSEC in my Roth, BKCC has outperformed PSEC over the past year or so. I think both are great companies and should continue to thrive.

  • New Intel Processors + New Microsoft CEO = Wintel Rising? [View article]
The 5% growth could prove to be true if Intel's new chips do what they say they will. I am waiting til year end to buy new Laptops - want a computer that doesn't need a fan and wont burn your legs when it is sitting on them... 12+ hrs of battery life, strong processor for intensive programs, touch screen etc. I think there are many people doing the same. the next round of ultrabooks will be computers that will do everything.

  • Avoid Intel, Buy Qualcomm Instead? - Part 1 [View article]
this article is devoid of any facts to support that intel will not be successful in mobile. Intel "ONLY" earned 2$ billion last quarter, and AMD lost how much last year? Can i get my click back??

  • Intel: A Dose Of Realism [View article]
Is Intel the most highly covered stock on this site? Seems like every day there are multiple articles all stating mostly the same guesses, one either the bearish side or bullish.

  • Intel Is Set To Grow [View article]
Little to no useful information in this article... As an INTC long I still see the stock as dead money for next 3-6 months where it may provide decent opportunities to pick shares up cheap.

  • AstraZeneca - Small Deal With Amplimmune Provides No Quick Fixes [View article]
I am currently sitting at a 25% gain in the stock and have been wrestling with keeping or selling my position.... They need a few big wins in the next 18 months or else its big trouble. I also own PFE who has a much stronger pipeline... Will probably hold AZN for a while longer and collect the divs.
