  • Amazon: When Will This Bubble Burst? [View article]
Most of their cloud resources are GIVEN AWAY FOR FREE to customers!!! I think amazon would need to be earning 10 B to justify its share price. and it has proven it has no shot at doing that any time soon.

  • Why Amazon's Share Price Will Keep Rising [View article]
So pretty much you admittedly have blinders on when it comes to evaluating a solid investment vs. one with a high level of risk. A company who does not earn a profit yet commands such lofty valuations is inherently riskier than those who MINT MONEY (XOM, APPL) I think AMZN's stock is at an inflection point - AT SOME POINT profit has to matter - and yes people have been saying this for a long time. It could be 1 year it could be 3 months. At some point there will be a correction, albeit not the crash and burn 200 pt drop most the bears believe but at least 60 - 80 pts.

  • Buying Amazon With A 20-Year Horizon [View article]
I am shocked how long it has taken as well... We deal in manufacturing machinery and until about 2-3 years ago never had any sales tax inquiries, it seems like every-time we have something that crosses the border into FL they are calling to make sure we are paying the sales tax.. States are money hungry and it will not take long for they to jump on board with California and demand AMZN to charge sales tax.

I think AMZN's best hope for profit growth is the subscription and media sales. I buy a lot of music on AMZN via the PANDORA link - it works great and I love the cloud player... I am a member of Audible (audio book subscription), I am a member of Prime as well so I watch movies on my PS3 and XBox.

I don't honestly know why they feel the need to be in EVERY business. How much money can you make selling 4$ Razors? probably a lot less than selling a Nikon SLR. I think a slimmed down company focused on the digital side of things could become a profit machine - much like how iTunes has been for apple. Not sure if I would want to go up against WMT on the "every day" items. They have proven time and again to be a fierce competitor who generally crushes its opposition.

How much better is amazon that WMT? All i know is WMT actually makes money and returns it to shareholders, walmart is the price leader and once they start to crowd this space it will be very tough for amazon. WMT could set up a courier network to take things directly from the stores (in local markets) and deliver them to your house same day, it would not be very expensive and services would be comparable to amazon. How much smarter is amazon 10xPE vs 3600xPE? What really is there to justify that? Foward PE is still around 50x - Crazy! Amazon is a BUY at 80$/share...

I am short too most of my options have increased between 100-140% in the past 2 days - I wonder why?.. Just wait for this double barreled shot gun blast to the face that is called amazon. When it starts to fall, make sure you got some stops in place beacuse it will fall like a ROCK. Think Enron or APPLE (as of recent - although i still don't understand who all of a sudden started hating apple, it would take amazon 100 yrs of their BEST year to equal Apple's cash in the bank!). Ridiculously overvalued - I love the show shark tank - Kevin O'Leary's favorite question : HOW AM I GOING TO GET MY MONEY BACK? Amazon will never be able to return the kind of value to the shareholders its valuation suggests EVER! I don't care if they have Walmart or Target margins, because at those margins, this wild growth will slow, they will be under pressure from losing the 7% sales tax advantage very shortly. Margins will deteriorate further if they try to keep the growth at this pace they will probably start bleeding money... Coming from a member of amazon prime and audible - I love their products - hate their stock.

30$ or Higher... once the market gains some sanity and some of these 60 or 70x PE companies come crashing down, people will start looking at GE as a good place to put their money.

  • Finally Sold On Ford [View article]
Plenty of crooks on either side. on the left you have a guy scamming the gov't for his $2,000 disability check, and on the right you have a "too big to fail bank" getting hundreds of billions of dollars in bailouts while the CEO and top Brass don't have to surrender any of the bonuses on previous year's pay, bonuses that were paid for by doing the exact thing that caused the mess in the first place. And yes - i know bla bla - the money was paid back everything is fine and we should go back to business as usual... But I disagree..

  • Big Tests For Stocks [View article]
I agree... unless the debt ceiling causes our economy to collapse there will still be lines of people to buy Iphone 6 and apple still is sitting on 100 billion in cash, that does not change - debt ceiling or not. But because the market IS irrational it is something to keep an eye out for. I will be putting my stops in place as well and buying back in at the bottom if things do take a dive.

  • Intel: Busting The Mobile Margin Myth [View article]
If anything, INTEL would build a superior product and roughly equal cost. they have no middle man who at the end of the day ALSO has to make a profit as well. your comments make no sense why INTEL's margins would be less than the others.
