  • Amazon's Sacred 7 Numbers Show It's Overvalued [View article]
Amazon - a company built on hopes and dreams..

Are these the same hopes the angie's list investors are resting their laurels on? "once we get to scale our profits will be huuuggeee" the issue is the world economy is huge and amazon wants to fight battles in every major space on the planet at once. online shopping, tech, cloud storage, now groceries... i was short a few times in amazon never managed eek a profit.

  • Annaly Has Bottomed: Multiple Reasons To Run For The Hills [View article]
at the end of the day there are plenty of stocks which offer you that security over the long run (the staple dividend stocks) but they also don't pay anywhere near 10%...
risk/reward right now i have experienced the Risk part but waiting for the reward part. I think it will recover.

  • American Capital Agency's Dividend Range Scenarios For Q3 2013 [View article]
What I would love to see an article on is what would cause AGNC or NLY to become insolvent? what type of perfect storm would have to take place? It would be helpful to know so we can watch for the indications. Obviously interest rate rights, fannie and freddie going belly up etc..

  • American Capital Agency's Dividend Range Scenarios For Q3 2013 [View article]
If there was no risk everyone would be earning 18% dividends. this is a volatile sector, the key is to load up when its cheap which is what I have been doing. If you look at the historical graph of NLY you can see this sector is a wild roller coaster ride. The key is hanging on durring the wild ride, it takes a strong stomach... Unless there some monumental changes to fannie/freddie (we see how well congress is working on our balanced budget) there will still be a home for these mREITs. Where else do you get these kinds of returns? I own a few MLP's and even they don't return this kind of dough... Kain's team is one of the best and I don't foresee a "belly up" risk - the share price could erode more but the company itself seems secure for the time being.

Love the company and the products but DE is a scary buy for me at these prices. It will be hurt hard if the economy has another pullback.

  • Report: Intel planning flurry of mobile CPU launches in 2014/2015 [View news story]
until the money is put in the books from these grand and superior technologies Intel will continue to trade in the low 20s. Where i will continue to buy it. I am OK grabbing a seat on the gravy train - even if I am early. 2014 will be their year.

  • Intel: Time To Give It Up [View article]
Michael, nice comment! I think Intel will fair well Q4 and Q1 FY2014 I will continue to hold and collect the dividend. None of the new products we are waiting for have even hit the market! missed revenue, met profit (I prefer profit to revenue any day!) I think things will only get better for INTC.

I agree Wigit5, it would seem a logical target for Intel, and a great foray into the space. These small trivial acquisitions intel makes puts nothing on the bottom line.

  • King Intel? Not So Fast [View article]
process lead will allow Intel to make smaller, thinner, faster chips all while saving power. If i was you i would look at the lofty PE ratios of ARM (71) to INTC (12) Intel's got a lot more cushion if the market shifts.

    always enjoy your articles!

I agree with the call on T... Right now is a hard time to find "deals" out there. was considering adding DE or maybe KMP. Wish JNJ or PG would come back to earth. Best buy on the list right now may be NLY? but i guess we have to see how things shake out with QE.

  • Is Intel A Long-Term Value Trap? [View article]
what you are saying here makes no sense.

INTC: market cap 121B, net income 10.31B, Revenue 53B
TSMC: market cap 99B net income 5.8B, Revenue 18.42B

TSMC has higher operating margins than Intel does.

they are valued within 20B (roughly 20% of each other) even though intel has 3 x Revenue, and almost double net income(100%!!).

Based on your logic, Intel is severely undervalued.

If you factor in the heavy capex intel could probably ratchet up net income by 2-3B over the next few years as expenditures start to slow somewhat.

  • American Capital Agency Corp.'s Detailed Dividend Sustainability Analysis [View article]
Wow great analysis. Must admit some a tad over my head but I like seeing them covering the dividend with little issue. AGNC is one of the best run REITs on the market.
