You know for the last 20 years Harley has been on top of the world. Sales through the roof. Waiting lists to get the bike of your choice. Unbelievable acceptance by the consumers of everything they made and did. It was twenty years of heaven. A prosperous period that most companies never see.

When companies experience this type of success they had better clean up their balance sheet, pay off debt and position themselves for the inevitable downturn. Harley did the exact opposite. If they fail to weather this storm it will be their own fault.
