Beating The S&P 500 With An Apple-Tilted ETF Portfolio
This thesis is all based on 'consensus' that AAPL will outperform. For your sake, I hope that consensus is correct considering it's never been wrong before.
It's easy to take one of the best performing stocks in the last 3 years, then back-test with ETFs that are overweight it, and then amazingly find the strategy beat the S&P 500!
I thought 'past performance is not indicative of future results?'

Major Market Turning Point Ahead (Part I)
Steven.... this is excellent research that you have provided for Seeking Alpha! For me, this was entirely beyond the box in which most minds are trapped. It's entirely plausable for the fiat system to collapse on itself (your Ponzi scheme reference), but also for governments to reflate asset values exponentially. It's fascinating to speculate on which one it will be. I particularly like your theory that a new technology may bail out the this endebted system by creating new highly paid jobs. I sincerely hope you are right. For myself, I own gold as a hedge as it sounds like you do, but I think that you are on to something with the relation story. I will be interested to see your upcoming posts as 2009 progresses. On a side note, will you be at the trader's expo in Las Vegas in November?
