Real Buys - Cramer's Mad Midday (8/20/08) [View article]
In the above, Cramer was high on FNM and FRE, and later, after the close yesterday 8/20, recommended suspension of trading of these same stocks. What is going on? What would be the effect if, indeed, trading is suspended? How would that affect XLF and similar ETFs?

As usual, an excellent round-up. Given MarkMedayski's comment, may I suggest that you add, in parentheses, the source of each segment: e.g. (WSJ) (Reuters) (Merrill), so that readers may assess the objectivity/reliabilit... of these segments.

Standfast beats me to the punch, as I was going to say that the earnings calendar, by hour, appears to be a few feature and is excellent. I also share don2m's comment that this is clearly a top-priority reading material every business-day morning.

This excellent report, being more concise, is getting better. Still, I would offer a minor suggestion. Lead off with world market, then follow with pre-mkt earnings report, then company writeups.

I echo the sentiment of another post (by Lisa) that this is an excellent summary of the day's major events. One suggestion is to be less verbose to facilitate reading, given that it would be wise to read this early in the morning, when one has a lot of other readings to do. Still, it is excellent service.
Fast Money Recap, 3/5/08: Apple Sweet on RIMM's Market Share [View article]
This is an excellent summary. I invariably missed out the last segment (final trade) as these panelists tend to mumble their respective picks. It would be interesting to track how their picks in the following day or two.
So far, your predictions do not seem to be bearing fruit. Both KO and PG were down Friday (1/11). We'll know more about C comes Monday (1/14). GG is up, but this is just conventional wisdom at the moment. Would it be up for another 4-8 quarters -- two years -- without correction? Too vague for my taste.

It is interesting that Cramer, being a China-basher, has no negative comments on Chinese-domiciled stocks. Why should Bernanke resign? He inherited the mess from Greenspan; the latter now writes articles in various financial publications trying to argue that he did nothing wrong while he was in office.

This is the first time I have seen Herb in this space. On Cramer's show, Herb has a sobering counterview that is very much appreciated. Keep up the good work. Re AAPL, I read, in yesterday's WSJ, it is among a half-dozen or so "marque" names cited as not having filed revised statements, etc (the story also cited three delistings). What should one expect of AAPL today? Is this the time to apply the Cramer's rule if AAPL provides only abbreviated data? omooc
