  • Molycorp - Everything Is Moving In The Right Direction For Long Investors [View article]
The market cap of Molycorp was just over 3b when it was traded at $70 a couple of years ago. Therefore, analysts who though MCP was worth 3b had a target price of $70. But due to shares dilution, MCP is traded at $2 now and the market cap is about 500m. Then, if an analyst thinks that MCP is worth 3b now, the target price will be around $15.

  • Barbarians At The Rare Earth Mine: Molycorp Equity Holders Could Get Cooked [View article]
SE, please read this article. http://seekingalpha.co...
John Lueken gave a very detailed analysis and he considered different factors. You should learn from him! Stop using the same information for 25 different articles! It's insane!

  • Barbarians At The Rare Earth Mine: Molycorp Equity Holders Could Get Cooked [View article]
You are right, Factsnotopinions. I think it is a shame that SA allows SE to post 25 articles on a single company since early May. I used to think SA was a good website where I could find a lot of good articles. But now I think it is a website full of unreliable sources of information. For example, SE didn't even know what insiders are. He gave wrong information on an article about insider sales but SA still published his article. He keeps saying that he expects the cash burn in the next several quarters will be similar to Q1's. If Molycorp can't ramp up production and/ or REE prices do not go up, then it may happen. But did he explain why Molycort can't ramp up production? Did he visit the facilities at Mountain Pass? Did he explain what was happening at Mountain Pass which led to the failure of ramping up production? China may introduce a new tax on REE producers in the second half of the year so REE prices may rise. What about the crack down of illegal mining of rare earth in China? all these will affect REE prices which in turn will affect Molycorp's cash flow. Did SE write about the above factors before reaching the conclusion that it will have less than $100m at the end of the year? SE, you can expect everything you like but please explain your projections in detail. Otherwise, you are nothing more than a fiction writer!

Michael, according to the above rare earth news, I think we can be cautiously optimistic about REE prices. But I don't think the prices will go up by much even if they really go up. My main concern is whether MCP will be operation cash flow positive within a year if REE prices stay flat.

  • Molycorp's Largest Shareholder Seeks $270M Capital Raise, Dilutive Event Could Happen Any Time Now [View article]
One more interesting point from Professor Dudley Kingsnorth. "Jack is very fond of making predictions based on miss-information. Myself and several others recall him stating at a rare earths conference in China a few years ago that “Molycorp will never produce a kilogram of rare earths”. Undoubtedly, his knowledge and understanding of the industry has improved since then, so perhaps he could provide us with some ‘guidance’ as to when his favoured five rare earths companies are likely to be in production" See more at: http://bit.ly/1phFabB
I am not saying that Jack is not an expert. I respect him as a rare earth expert. What I want to say is that not every rare earth expert shares the same view as Jack.

  • Molycorp's Largest Shareholder Seeks $270M Capital Raise, Dilutive Event Could Happen Any Time Now [View article]
Why did you say that, Michael? Actually, I also think Molycorp is going to fine.
According to an article which is based on the update from Professor Dudley Kingsnorth, Molycorp is about to turnaround. "I (Professor Dudley J. Kingsnorth) have visited both operations in the recent past and remain in regular contact with the companies. While, we are all disappointed with the time taken to start-up their respective operations I remain confident that both Molycorp and Lynas will achieve regular production for extended periods at their respective Stage 1 design capacities in the not too distant future. Furthermore, I believe that they should both generate positive cash flows from their operations in 2015 at average prices for the year to date(2014). These conclusions are based upon public information and tours of the respective facilities." http://bit.ly/1lU9dBu
In addition, John Lueken is cautiously optimistic about the future of Molycorp. http://seekingalpha.co... He clearly knows what is going on at Mountain Pass and his projections are based on facts and careful analysis. Molycorp's Insiders are also bullish on its future as well. We all know that SE is very bearish on MCP. But when we compare his analysis with John Lueken's, SE seems to bash the company using the same data again and again without giving detailed analysis of what is going on at Mountain Pass. 2014 Q1 is a bad quarter and he assumes the cash outflow in the next few quarters is similar to Q1. If projections can be made so easily, we won't need analysts any more.
Finally, here is a link about rare earth news in China. Hope it can help.
    http://bit.ly/1phEiDR
Some news is bullish while some is bearish. So it is not easy to predict whether the rare market is turning around. However, If Professor Dudley Kingsnorth is right, Molycorp can be operation cash flow positive without a recovery of rare earth prices!

If Chinese producers buy MCP and Lynas, they will have a real monopoly of the global rare earth market! If I were them, I would buy both companies and then cut production in China. What will happen then?

He should have gone bankrupt!! Why do you want to contact him? He's the worst investment advisor on SA. His recommended JRCC, PAL, SWC and PCX as the best buy-and-hold stocks. PCX went BK in 2012. JRCC and PAL are traded below $1. His advise is very terrible.

Natural gas is above $4.5 now. If it stays there for an extended period of time, KING COAL will be back!!!! Sadly, Mark bought JRCC shares aggressively on margin when its share price was substantially higher than today's price. If his disclosure is true, he should have gone bankrupt. He will never enjoy the comeback of he coal sector. However, I strongly believe that he is only a pumper and his disclosure information is wrong.

JRCC is traded at $1.28 at the moment. Is Mark buying JRCC shares aggressively on margin? After reading his most recent article http://bit.ly/19yOywy , I really think that he is crazy, insane and arrogant. He thinks he is an expert in many areas!!!!

  • Obama pollution rules weighed by sympathetic Supreme Court [View news story]
I also bought some PCX shares last year and I felt betrayed. They filed BK too easily and quickly. Did they try to raise more capital by issuing more shares or selling their assets? Or did they try to sell the whole company at deep discount? I think it is a strategic BK to get rid of their underwater contracts, pension liabilities and shareholders. How can know that they won't do it again? 'Patriot Coal'? what a shame! It should be renamed as' Unpatriotic Coal' or 'Coward Coal'. If they issue new shares and the current weak coal market continues for a few more years, they may file for another BK. Their management gives us the impression that they see BK as a re-birth rather than a death sentence. They didn't try to their best to avoid BK. I won't trust this kind of bad management any more. We should not invest in this kind of rubbish company. I won't touch this company when they issue new shares. They are liars!
