They look for the violent swings down. Make the big bux. I have come across an investor who spends 60 hours a week on DD. For example, He shorted GMCR from 105 to 30, He shorted CMG from 400 to 300, all DITM options. He is only 1 of 2 people I have come across on the yahoo boards I have ever found helpful. He posts in real time. I know I am just babbling but trying to portray that shorts usually have more homework to do.

Its fascinating one is willing to step aside but keep watching the game. And I hope you aren't equating investors to the likes on stocktwits because that is laughable. Stwts serves several purposes but a forum of common sense is minute. Modernist is one pretentious dude but he hit it on the nail of the specific censorship on STWTs that creates a false sense of momentum. A group herd menatility, if you will. Overall its interesting you decided to take yourself out of the game but seemingly have put even more time into the research of this litigation. Cheers

i find this irrelevant, the FED, and whoever do their best to keep PM's low, they are definitely not correlated to our inflation for the last couple years. Do I think PM's are good investments? Yes, buy the physical and store it forever. At some point this game wont last anymore but I bet the FED can sure drag this out much longer than we expect. Who knows when they will actually start to raise interest rates. To me thats when PM's will start going to the next level

oat, thats what i understand also. I am no lawyer, is there a difference in legality in the case whether it is appealed vs a new case? Maybe thats the part I dont understand? What I am seeing this as is, google has zero interest in settling till that is their last option. Is there a downside for Google to appeal? Some indicate a settlement is on the horizon. I just can't see that VRNG is close to exhausting every single option for google for them to consider settling. I am not as concerned with laches as I am with what JJ will render as an appropriate RR. I was fine w/ keeping laches and a 3.5RR but imo w/ the was post trial motions have unfolded, I believe VRNG is warranted more than 3.5

Kevin, or anybody for that matter, can someone explain one thing to me. These dockets imply that google wants a new case. Many people suggest this laches which favors google will drive this towards some settlement. If google is so adamant about a new case, they do risk losing laches, which sure does not seem like a concern to them. Many say they will settle so they don't lose MORE money because they must do whats in the best interest of the shareholders. Well getting a new case and arguably winning the whole case is still a possibility. I can't see any type of settlement happening until all options for google are exhausted, including appeals. If this theory is so bunk, then why I ask would google want a new case.

trying, that isn't mark's problem. Mark doesn't like the fact everything can be patented, like apple and a square design. Do you watch shark tank? The last two weeks I have caught some on youtube. There was a guy who came on who holds a patent for putting wires through holes in your clothes. That's absurd. No one else in the world can make a hole in their clothes to put a wire through unless they license to this patent. Mark said this is what is wrong with the patent system. I totally agree with him on this and I would think anyone with common sense would agree this shouldn't be patentable.

Vringo (VRNG +3.8%) has added Microsoft (MSFT) to its list of lawsuit targets, alleging the software giant is infringing the two search-related patents (no doubt through Bing) that were asserted against Google and others in a recent Virginia trial. A suit has been filed in the Southern District of New York; Vringo is seeking "past and future compensatory damages." (PR)
