<title> The smooth ride of the first few weeks of 2012 is coming to an end soon, a gloomy Charles Reinhard of Morgan Stanley says, pointing to policy ineptitude on both sides of the Atlantic that will make for rough sailing ahead. Take your profits now: &quot; The economy is still fragile, and until we see a light at the end of the tunnel, we think it&amp;rsquo;s better to drive more cautiously.&quot; </title>

<title> Tim Cook (AAPL) reportedly sent an urgent memo yesterday addressing alleged violations of health and safety at factories of suppliers, following negative stories in NYT and elsewhere (I, II). Cook says Apple is &amp;ldquo;attacking problems aggressively&amp;rdquo; and that the company is leading the industry by planning to open up to the Fair Labor Association for inspection of suppliers&amp;rsquo; facilities. </title>

<title> Don't get carried away by today's misplaced optimism over the ECB and Greece, says Art Cashin. It's more a &quot;sigh-of-relief&quot; rally than anything else. Greece is just the immediate, right-now issue, but the problem isn't going away anytime soon. Soon we'll have to deal with Portugal, and then Italy. (video) </title>

<title> Priceline (PCLN) kills off William Shatner's Negotiator character in a new 30-second TV spot set to begin airing Monday. &quot;Save yourselves - some money,&quot; he says as he and a bus of panicked vacationers tumble off a bridge. After Shatner's 14-year run as Priceline's pitchman, the company says an advertising change is needed as it shifts from a name-your-price model to a fixed-price approach. </title>

<title> Netflix (NFLX -2.6%) gives back some of its recent gains following a critical note from Caris' David Miller. Miller thinks Netflix will guide for operating losses for at least the next 2 quarters during Wednesday's Q4 report, and remains concerned about the potential for higher licensing payments to EPIX. However, B. Riley's Eric Wold is lifting his PT to $125 on hopes of better-than-expected domestic subscriber growth. </title>

<title> Steve Schwarzman to the Fed:&amp;nbsp;none of your business. Blackstone (BX) is changing the structure of its 14.1% stake in BankUnited (BKU) after CEO Schwarzman balked at providing personal financial information to the Fed. <title> The Eurogroup hits the tape saying it will do &quot;whatever it takes&quot; to overcome the crisis, and is exploring options to maintain the EFSF's AAA rating. France and Austria together account for 23% of the rescue fund's backing. Add in the PIIGS, and a majority of the EFSF's capital comes from non-AAA countries - it's unclear how a AAA can be maintained. </title>

<title> Sources tell DigiTimes that Apple (AAPL +0.6%) will introduce an iPad 3 in March and an iPad 4 in October. The iPad 3 would offer a higher-resolution display but otherwise similar hardware specs to the current model, whose entry-level price would be cut to $399, echoing Street views suggesting a dual-pricing strategy. The iPad 4 is expected to have &quot;much upgraded hardware.&quot; </title>

<title> Just days before its collapse, MF Global unloaded hundreds of millions of dollars of securities to Goldman Sachs, but was unable to get its hands on at least part of the cash as its clearing firm, JPMorgan, withheld the funds, according to sources. <title> Barron's Teresa Rivas comes down on the side of those who believe Amazon (AMZN) is on track to beat Q4 revenue estimates. She also notes Gene Munster's research showing&amp;nbsp; the vast majority of Kindle Fire users are happy with the product. Despite selling for 85X forward earnings, Amazon might be worth a look at current &quot;sale&quot; prices. Shares are off 30% the last 10 weeks, and -4.4% for the year. </title>

<title> Despite all of Iran's blustering, closing the Straits of Hormuz would not be as easy as it claims, say U.S. analysts. Iranian boats are too small, and don't have the capability to sustain a prolonged blockade. It would be a harassment effort at best. Besides, analysts say, any attempt will be met by an immediate response from the U.S. Fifth Fleet based in Bahrain. </title>

<title> The ECB's got the formula all wrong, says Art Cashin. Despite a marginally decent bid-to-cover today in Italy's bond auction that staved off immediate disaster, they can't go through the year expanding their balance sheet and financing at these levels without concerns of inflation breaking out. <title> &quot; The European crisis isn't as deep and terrible as people think,&quot;&amp;nbsp;Franklin Templeton's Mark Mobius tells a Brazilian newspaper, expecting a resolution by the middle of next year that sparks a rise in global bourses. Brazil &quot;is in a very good situation,&quot; Mobius says, much like the U.S. with its strong consumer base and economic diversification. </title>

<title> When you have a patient with a high fever, you don't sit around asking what caused the fever, you focus on getting it down, says Dennis Gartman about today's ECB &quot;backdoor bazooka.&quot; It may not solve Europe's financing problems, but it will provide much needed liquidity to the banks and prevent any disorderly deleveraging, at least over the near-term. Sometimes, Gartman says, just buying time is the best you can do. (video) </title>
