Baidu.com: Still a Takeover Target

Perhaps neither google or yahoo will be as willing to provide links to pirated copyrighted material - a great allure of the Baidu portal. It may also be an onerous burden for both google and yahoo to fend off the 20 million copyright infringement suit in US courts. Both Google and Yahoo could loath the propsect of close economic parthership with the People's Communist Party, especially even more stringent censorship of content. As things stand, Yahoo is already under Congressional probe for disclosing user information that put a Chinese writer in jail. Google has also contrived an awkward apology for censoring content with a mea culpa, however business is business. I would conclude that any takeover of Baidu by American domiciled companies would be unlikely, and dilutive to earnings.
