  • Why You Should Short Vringo Above $4 [View article]
Yes. As Kevin says, "That's not the final judgement". Done some research. That's correct. Sold off about 25% of my shares at $3.87. Will wait for it to drop some more before buying it back.

  • Why You Should Short Vringo Above $4 [View article]
Good heavens. I thought articles on Vringo would stop because there was nothing more to write about till Judge Jackson ruled or Vringo and Googles settled. Yet I see another 2 articles written this week.

    @all authors of Seeking Alpha,
There are other companies out there. Write articles about them.

  • A Quantitative Valuation For Vringo [View article]
At present, I am long ARNA, VRNG and cash. I am looking at Molycorp (MCP), and Nvidia (NVDA). However I MAY not enter any new positions this week. I was going to take a short term bullish position on Apple based on the hammer candlestick and Apple fundamentals but the stock moved too fast on the opening bell so I have let that trade pass.

You should also realize that I usually hedge my positions. If you are interested, you can either follow me here on Seeking Alpha or visit my web site.

Thank you for the vote of confidence.

  • A Quantitative Valuation For Vringo [View article]
It's strange but I now read the Vringo articles for pure entertainment value. For information, I go to the comments section.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have now moved on. I am still holding some shares while waiting for JJ's decision but there are other stocks out there that are more interesting.

As a trader, I predict that the stock will move in a narrow range until either a) GOOG and VRNG settle, or b) the judge comes out with his decision. This should take place within the next 46 days. I do not see a settlement from the ZTE case until this case is resolved one way or the other.

I believe that you mean: http://bit.ly/WnxI2B

    Interesting that it contradicts http://bit.ly/T9yYD9

I wonder which is the more up-to-date.

    Yes. I agree with this.

Could you name your source of information? I have a source http://bit.ly/T9yYD9 which gives different numbers. Yes, institutional holdings are still going up but not to the extent that you are talking about. It could be that my source is outdated but unless you give your source, we do not know that.

American International Group (http://bit.ly/pllDEJ) own 5.6 million shares. I hardly think that they are a "back room pink sheet pump and dump institution". Full institutional ownership given below.

  • How Return Of Capital Now Trumps Return On Capital [View article]
That's strange. When I read the article, I thought that the return of capital referred to BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust. The reason that that particular stock holding is able to pay such high royalties is because it is a trust. The trust will expire in about 2025 or so which is another 13 years from now, at which point investors will get nothing. So you should regard a portion of the royalties paid as a Return Of Capital. Having said that, even after deducting the Return of Capital, the rate of return is still good compared to other royalty trusts.

No! No! No! The lesson to learn is asset allocation or diversification. Kevin has less than 10% of his money in any one company. That is what you take away from here.

If you put all your money in one stock, you MAY hit a home run as you explained above. On the hand, you MAY be putting your money in an Enron. (Enron was considered a blue chip shortly before it went under.)

That is why I commended him for his money management skills.

Thank you for acknowledging my graciousness.

What makes you think I'm poor? I may not have 20M in the stock market YET but I'm getting there.

  • Large Vivus Shareholder Calls For Sale Of Company [View article]
The conclusion I draw is that QVT Financial is dissatisfied with the performance of the board. The talks above tell me that there may be a board room fight coming up. This implies high volatility in the share price the next few months. If QVT suceeds in getting a director on board, then I would be more optimistic about the prospects of VVUS.
