  • Why The Dollar Is Rising As The Global Monetary Bubble Craters [View article]
Gosh! Was there any GOOD news? How strong of a dollar can we tolerate? Good question-above-"how do you protect your wealth?" With the CBs manipulating precious metals 24x7, is there any safety there, at all? For the first time in a long time, I have a lot more questions than answers.

I've got a good one - about five years ago I asked 50 people in a row - of ALL ages - "In what branch of the Federal Government is the Federal Reserve?" I got 49 wrong answers. The ONE right answer was from one of my teenaged boys. Now, THAT's misdirection and obfuscation at its best. Very few people even know who's even running the government anymore.

When I went to school this was called propaganda. Now it's called The Magnificent Works of the Glorious Leader. We let our schools become bastions of socialist structure and function, filled with little college-trained Socialists that trained your children to parrot the party line like good little sheep. Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.

Over 31,000 men and women of science have signed a petition that completely disagrees with the govt's position on GW. Over 9,000 of those hold doctorates in science. Maybe the press hasn't told you about that one. Go look at petitionproject dot org to see it. I'm a man of science and all I see is political agendas that fund one point of view. Settled science? That's not science.

  • Will There Be Forced Official Sellers Of Gold? [View article]
You had me until the new engine that runs on water and gets 1000 miles to the gallon and produces drinkable clean water exhaust that I can sell at a profit...

  • U.S., Russia, Saudi Arabia: Who Is Going To Win In The Oil Price Stand-Off? [View article]
I do understand the frustration, and my recently crippled ability to game the market just proves that I can no longer properly channel a college sophomore. It's embarrassing, really... I may have to keep my money in private business.

  • Gold Is Asleep - When Will It Awaken? [View article]
These are mediocre days. I've seen way worse in my lifetime. The financial meltdown known as the S&L Crisis of the 80's and 90's was much worse, if you happened to live in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana or Mississippi. It was badly named (who were we protecting?) and was the result of oil prices going through the floorboards, followed by banks, jobs, S&L's, and real estate - pretty much everything. These are mediocre days.

  • Even The Woefully Underfunded Retiree Can Survive The Next Crash: Here's How [View article]
As a real estate broker, I can tell you that if Ma and Paw have held that house for 40 years, it had better be close to city center in a highly desirable city. Otherwise, the short ceilings, tiny garage (detached), the tiny bathrooms and closets, and bad insulation are probably not going to bring near as much on the market as you might have thought. If you're lucky to be near a desirable city center, you can probably sell for a very good price, even though the house is substandard by modern parameters. Some GenX couple that work downtown will probably give a king's ransom for it. BTW - I encourage buyers to buy exactly what they need, where they need it. Over-buying is just more of the consumption mindset that has contributed to the nation's gargantuan debt.

I should add that the current batch of bozos in D.C., while trying to stick their finger in Putin's eye, also get the exciting side-benefit of sticking it to TexArkLaHoma, where Conservatism has been raising its ugly head and the economies have been an embarrassment to Liberals, everywhere. Take that, Rick Perry! Now, see if you feel so smug about Texas' business climate. Northern bankers still know how to hamstring the South - just like before, during and after the Civil War. Plus ├ža change.

There is "widespread agreement among people paying attention to the climate crisis that it is necessary" to really stick to America while we still can. The GHG and Global Cooling/Warming/Whatever Crowd never go home, never stop bitching, never change their minds, regardless of any fact whatsoever. Make up your own facts, then do whatever you were going to do, already, anyway, which is to wrest control from the citizens of this country, at all costs, all the time, so you can feel safe, secure. We've become a giant sissy farm. Privatize education and see what changes. Fund both sides of the Global Warming debate with the same amount of money and see what changes. Clean up pollution? Absolutely! This isn't about pollution, it's about money and power. Cheap oil is just another excuse to go after their same old, tired agenda; this time with new talking points - same as the old (boss) talking points.

Peace breaking out, meaning our lackeys in the govt capitulate to the heart-throb Iranian desire to become a nuclear power, with no downside to Iran. We are so stupid, it's amazing how dumb we are. This moment will be written about in textbooks of the future, if there is one.

  • Goldman Sachs Analysis Shows Just How Low American's Wages Are [View article]
"...woefully inadequate skills..." Precisely. So many young people have wasted their education opportunities, yet demand that they receive a "living wage" for not having gained a "living wage education." Blame everyone else for your problems is where we have arrived as a society. Between victimhood and political correctness, it appears that we are ready to subordinate our entire lives to a tyrannical govt masquerading as a benevolent master. What follows that has already been demonstrated in all the history books.
