Jacob L. Taylor and Lonnie J. Rush are visiting instructors at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management where they teach Value Investing. They founded Farnam Street Investments, a boutique investment firm modeled after Warren Buffett’s successful 1950’s partnerships. FSI offers a hedge fund that gives sophisticated, high net worth investors the opportunity join an emerging Buffett-like partnership. They differentiate themselves by applying Mr. Buffett’s criteria to every stock in the known universe, with a special focus on smaller cap stocks. Like Mr. Buffett started with “A” in the Moody’s manual all those years ago, they spend their time scouring the globe for high-quality businesses that are selling for unreasonable prices. They welcome being contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Peter Way Associates is the only known provider of the price range forecasts of widely-held, actively traded stocks derived from the hedging activities of market-making [MM] firms as they balance big-$-fund sellers and buyers in large block trades. The price ranges offer explicit downside exposure forecasts not commonly found in publicly published investment analyses.
This is all forward-looking data, based on what the MMs will pay for protection against coming unwanted price change while temporarily committed firm capital is exposed to market risks. It is available by modest subscription cost at blockdesk.com.
The behavioral analysis involved has been performed daily since Y2K, now on over 3,000 stocks, ETFs, and market indexes. That has built an actuarial history of how market prices have subsequently behaved following several million price range forecasts, issue by issue.
That data provides a qualitative backdrop to current forecasts in terms of odds of profitable positions, size of prospective gains, credibility of forecasts, and worst-case price drawdown exposure experiences.
Peter F. Way is a veteran Chartered Financial Analyst, having taken and passed the CFA Institute’s required 3 examinations in the first years they were given, 40+ years ago.
Armed with BS in Economics from the Wharton School and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, he has managed staffs of dozens of Investment Researchers and Quantitative Analysts for the nation’s largest bank, arbitraged index options for NYSE Specialists, and managed portfolios of hundred-million-dollar equity investments for Fortune 100 corporate pension funds and non-profit endowments.
He has been elected President of professional Investment Analyst Societies in San Diego and New York City and has served on the editorial boards of the Financial Analysts Journal and the CFA Digest. He has spoken at numerous schools and professional meetings.

I am a self-educated investor with a great desire to achieve financial independence and secure a comfortable retirement savings. My education in criminal justice is where I learned to conduct research and analysis. I apply the techniques that I have learned in all aspects of my life and continue to learn and improve. In order to improve the life of my family financially, I began to learn about finances and I have developed a strong interest in investing in the stock market. I love and advocate the dividend growth investment technique.
I have spent most of the free time I had learning about investing and the dividend growth technique from great authors found on Seeking Alpha. Although there is always more to learn, I continue to enjoy the challenge of acquiring more knowledge and experience. I enjoy applying what I have learned particularly in my writing here on Seeking Alpha. I also apply many of my analytic skills and thinking to my articles in order to stimulate discussion, challenge traditional thinking and obtain varying points of view. I seek broad knowledge in order to enhance my own opinion, perspective, and thought process.
Accelerating Dividends Portfolio is the name I have given to my personal investment portfolio and business plan. This plan focuses primarily on US and Canadian Dividends to achieve financial independence. I also include some speculative investments such as small-cap, value and growth stocks to fuel the portfolio to purchase additional dividend stocks quicker.
My intention is to share what I find, what I experience and what I see with readers here on Seeking Alpha and to contribute in a positive and meaningful way.

As a contributor to the New Low Observer (http://www.newlowobserver.com/about-this-site), we intend to give new insights on a low risk approach to trading in dividend paying stocks for tax deferred accounts. The New Low Observer (http://www.newlowobserver.com/about-this-site) is not intended for regular or non-qualifying accounts however, the strategies and stocks mentioned can be used for non-qualifying accounts with the understanding of the consequences of potential short-term capital gains as well as the need for exceptional documentation for IRS purposes.
I have a professional background of working with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Although I am an economist (and probably because of that fact), I am adept at being resourceful and thinking in a multidisciplinary fashion. For this reason, my professional experience only reflects a wide perspective that I have gained through the years and should not connote an air of authority.
