Is Black Gold Worth More than Real Gold? [View article]
Since Obama, Reid, Pelosi, et al will not allow oil drilling or exploration, I believe that oil will soon become more precious, at least till the 2010 elections begin to change the makeup of congress. However, I would not bet against gold, with our printing presses rolling off trillions of $ nonstop. Inflation is a certainty, how soon is the question. Where's the birth certificate???
Will Silver Start to Outperform Gold? [View article]
One of these days (and I would never presume to predict when), silver could take off like a cheetah with a tabasco sauce enema. On the other hand, if deflation takes hold, it could sink like the Titanic. However, with these trillion$ being thrown around like confetti, I think that inflation is nearly a certainty.
I will continue to hold what I've got, and add to my position as much as I can. Even if silver should tank (very doubtful), I've got lots of silver coins that can't possibly go below face value. In these times of total monetary chaos (inflation, deflation, stagflation, government flatulation) anything is possible. It's going to be a looooooong four years!
The Manipulation of Gold and Silver Prices [View article]
With Obama, Reid and Pelosi in virtual total control of our government, we are going to be in for at least four miserable years. I truly expect to see $10-$12 gasoline within the four years that Obama and his liberal leaders are in power. Food, and every other essential product will follow suit. Taxes will be raised to unheard of levels (there is already a scheme to raise the gas tax by $1.50).
Buy land---learn to raise your own food, and have a means to protect yourself from those who are going to be hungry and desperate.

I went to the largest coin/metals dealer in Fargo yesterday and tried to buy some silver. They were completely out, and have no idea when they might be receiving some. They have a LOOOONG waiting list of people who want to buy. And---they will be taking delivery of several futures contracts when they expire.
What does this mean? I'm not very savvy about these futures markets, and wonder if it's possible to buy a mini contract and take delivery. Anyone out there with experience on doing this?
Examining the "Unprecedented Demand" for Gold Eagle Coins [View article]
As I write this, gold is down about $27, and silver down $1.33. The Dow is down over 400 points. Does NOTHING make sense anymore? How can the stocks be tanking like this, the dealers are virtually out of metals, and the futures are down? There just has to be manipulation by some "biggies" that are powerful enough to remain hidden from public view. This will eventually come out, and in the meantime, I'll hold my metals, and try to find and buy as much more as I can afford. May God bless America!
Higher Bills for the U.S. Means Higher Gold Prices [View article]
Karl Denninger proposes some very drastic solutions, but I think they would work. The problem is that the entrenched politicians currently in power will NEVER begin to consider them. The ruling class is so busy getting re-elected, and lining their own pockets that they have absolutely NO reason to change the status quo.
And---those of us who do understand the problem that is currently facing our beloved country are in the tiny minority. The vast majority of Americans are far more interested in Dancing With the Stars, Days of Our Lives, the Packers/Cowboys game, and the Red Sox/Yankees than with what is really important. Until this changes, we will continue to be in trouble. God bless America!
Bob Moriarty: Gold is Safe Haven for Looming Crash [View article]
I can remember atomic bomb drills that we had in our schools. We had to put our heads under our desks, in case of a nuclear attack. Some people built bomb shelters in their own homes. Then, recently, we had the y2k scare, where all computers would shut down, and the world as we know it would cease to exist. Recently, we had the bird flu to worry about. Now, the big catastrophic event is the peak oil crisis.
I have some precious metals, I have some land that could sustain us in the worst case scenario, but most important of all, a great family, and faith in the people of our great country (not the politicians). We have, and will continue to be the greatest country in the world. Yes, we have some problems, but the American ingenuity will prevail. God Bless America!
