The worst has yet to come. As the economy drifts listlessly going into this holiday season, Microsoft Windows 7 or not, nightmares before Christmas in 2010 and beyond for Dell and tech companies. The unbearable pains are ahead.
Dell shareholders paying $3.9 billion for great synergy with Perot System is too expensive.
Both consumers and corporate spendings are going to be a big headache because they cutting spendings in 2010.
Rival Hewlett-Packard, Acers, Lenovo, Fujitsu, etc are very much aggressive to launch strong product lines at a very competitive prices. It will hurt Dell the most where it is the strongest.
Dell management and its Analysts are dreaming in the corner offices. Time to face a painful reality.

Sources say Ciena (CIEN) raised its offer for Nortel's optical networking and carrier ethernet business to $714M from an earlier $522M. Sources say Nokia Siemens (NOK, SI) and private-equity firm One Equity Partners have also jointly bid for the assets.

Recessions separate weak companies from strong ones. When the tide goes out, you can see who's not wearing a bathing suit.
The companies that handle a downturn best are likely to lead when the economy rebounds.
Beside a few great tech companies, the rest of NASDAQ and tech companies are overvalued and way ahead of market.
Stocks are overpriced and will soon come back to earth when everyone realizes the economy is still the pits.

Sprint Expands 4G Network, Reduces Debt

Verizon and ATT are the Worst. Sprint made many mistakes in the past and I do see much improvements and progress, starting with CEO. New Sprint employees are doing much better works. Hopefully, Sprint staying focus, few solid steps, and not doing anymore stupid tricks.
