More important is the profit on $5.5 billion in revenues about 2,145,000,000 billion in 3 quarters or about 3 billion in a year, dare I say it more than Netflix and Amazon combined and almost 25% of what Google makes in a year.

Without profit? Chromecast is worthless (to developers) with the prospects of never a profit with it app wise, and no free doesn't work.

Tech companies like Lenovo and ZTE without a in house OS can never be a better investment than Apple or Microsoft.

So no problem when the default search contract between Apple and Google goes bye bye, Google is the poster boy of one trick companies. With multiple hardware failures, the Q, Glasses, Motorola or the latest "Army Dog". Google is without profit on any hardware in it's history.

Apple's OS and program version upgrades across the user base are simply far beyond Google's or Microsoft's pay grade.

Five paragraphs not needed, upgrade done.

    Like Google Maps getting axed

Google's profit in the last five years is as flat the Kansas prairie, so when they get around writing off the 12 billion dollar Motorola failure along with the Apple search contract expiration.

Maybe the Army Dog can pull them out or maybe not?

Another Google hardware failure with no profit.

Google pays Apple a large fee 1 to 2 billion a year to have a default position on OS X and iOS at boot up. See Google maps on OS X and iOS, without it's default position at boot up usage has drop thru the floor. The contract is rumored to be at the end of days.

My point about streaming is, transferring wealth to the content companies is a loosing proposition, also listening to what content companies want will never advance hardware design forward, they will never support anything other than more money out of Apple's pocket (See Sony Corporation for what happens).

In the car area, I think Apple has come to the conclusion, like retail stores or cpu's, that only way forward is to build it themselves, if car's in the future are electric a full OS will be necessary, who else besides Apple can do that from a know how and capital standpoint.

PS, Amazon and Netflix however hold the crown for being the King and Queen of tech pretenders, neither company will ever turn any significant profit ever, but they are great day trades in the present until they are not, don't get caught being last out the door.

Google's profit has been flat the last 5 years, revenue is up as a function of Human population growth however. (Google is the ultimate one trick tech pony), hardware profit or revenue, well there is none.

Apple: the numbers aren't even close. (Google is the tech pretender. Google still has that 9 to 12 billion Motorola write-off, that no-one cares about. Note: when they finally write it off Wall Street will reward them with a higher share value).

When Apple cuts the search cord with Google, how much money will they make in mobile? Apple is in the drivers seat, Google, Netflix and Amazon are tech pretenders with over inflated share prices.
