    I watched that clip couple days ago in the W/H of Obama speaking (begging) for support for the Senate H/C bill..

    I got the distinct feeling that I was observing a "tell" about Obama:
    he was almost squinting, blinking alot while he spoke. He made little eye contact afterwards with senators after speech. If he doesn't have some eye infection, itch or was short on sleep, then he was guilty of lying. Max Baucus standing behind him also looked like he was hearing a lie too. I'll bet that bill is pure poison for all who are affected by it.

    not surprising. As long as the US leaves their Southern border with Mexico WIDE OPEN, well then MEXICANS WILL FLOW ACROSS LIKE WATER IN A TSUNAMI. And it won't be the educated, elite ones either. It will be the agricultural types who have a third grade education at best. The know how to plant, hoe, sweep, garden, change a tire, and other low skill jobs. And given enough millions of them, they will kinda drag down the level of education represented by our entire workforce. So, skilled? not really. You aren't very likely to find any Java programmers on this bunch.

    On the whole, I distrust the BLS numbers and have for the last 10 months. However, this unexpected down-tick can be somewhat attributed to retail hiring of temporary christmas season help. The proof will be seen in the January figures reported the first week in Feb. We'll see...

    Totally agree with The Recusant on silver. This alone makes BMO estimates very suspect as such blatant bias has no room in any strategic analysis of markets.
