  • U.S. becomes world's top oil producer, but July 4 gas prices at six-year high [View news story]
Another factor is if your state continues to raise the state gas tax, you may not being seeing the benefit at the pump that some others are seeing. 13 states have raised their gas tax in the past 12 months while 24 states or so haven't raised them in 10 to 43 years!

  • Kinder Morgan: The Growth Story Continues [View article]
It all depends on which one you are talking about KMI, KMR, or KMP. They are all distinctly different vehicles in Kinder Morgan. Here is a good explanation

  • Ford Is Starting To Make Some Big Waves [View article]
Agreed, Ford actually has a number of CNG (compressed natural gas vehicles) already in production (not sure if they produce any LNG, liquified natural gas or LPG, liquified petroleum gas)

Biggest problem really is the infrastructure (only about 520 CNG pumps in US with long stretches of road without any) to allow for large-scale use in the U.S, at least for now. With the relatively low cost of Natural Gas vs. Gasoline, it would appear there could be demand for these types of vehicles. For a comparison on the efficiency, one could (for a large expense) refit a 2001 Honda Civic to CNG and get 31 mpg highway. CNG ranges from as cheaply as $1.00 to as much as $2.88 gallon at last check.

Agreed but if you don't believe it matters that the Chairman of the Federal Reserve is chosen and renewed (albeit upon confirmation by Congress) by the sitting President for four-year terms, especially since Bernanke's term expires in 2013. I have some swamp land to sell you......

  • Depomed Plunges After Serada Results: Still An Attractive Buying Opportunity [View article]
Bah... there are plenty of D.O.'s that are cardiologists, neurosurgeons, oncologists, etc. D.O.'s pass the same medical boards that MD's do. According to the Cecil Textbook of Medicine, 22 ed., other than teaching manual medicine, medical training for an osteopathic degree (D.O.) is now virtually indistinguishable from that which leads to the MD degree.

  • Options Trader: Thankful Friday [View article]
I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how FAZ\SKF are well BELOW their inception prices when almost NONE of the banking stocks are anywhere near their prices of a year ago? I understand some of it has to do with the 2xx multiplier they are based on but if anyone has a good explanation for a newer investor, I would appreciate it. Thanks
