If American car companies can't produce vehicles that the rest of the world will buy, why does Ford Motor Company own 9% of the European market, while Toyota owns only 5%?

Even Opel outperforms Toyota in Europe.

  • Emisphere: Improving Drug Delivery  [View article]
The delisting was not news. It was already in the cards for anyone that followed the stock at all. EMIS is a high risk play. That was what was good about his article. It illustrated the problems and didn't just pump. The only play on EMIS is to sit tight and wait on NVS. They'll decide its fate one way or the other, when the note comes due, in their decision to proceed on PTH, and ultimately in the outcome of the calcitonin trials.

  • Emisphere: Why We're Confident [View article]
EMIS does look more interesting given the GRAS result, and the NVS trials have huge potential. However, they have more than a need for cash for operations. They carry two convertible notes on their books that need to be dealt with. The $12M NVS note is due this December, and there's been no communication from mngt. regarding a plan to deal with the note. They don't have the cash to pay at maturity, and they also need to be careful issuing additional shares, since the MHR terms contain ratchets that could trigger extensive dilution. How do these issues affect your valuation?
