  • Dollar Down, Metals Down - Which One Is Lying? [View article]
    Hi Avi,

My sincerest condolences on your loss. I have been a follower of your work for some time and appreciate your insights. You do good work.

Sometimes I wish you had more detail and other times less. To understand Elliot better, I need more detail. Honestly, I feel lost with the different labels for the waves, and how you arrive at the conclusions you do. Without really getting it, maybe just the conclusions would be better.

So you call for silver going to 26? I have my own technical way of measuring sentiment (what I call the group emotional wave) and I come up with SLV topping out at 22 on Jan 6th or 7th. Given my respect for your work, I'm trying to understand how you get to 26 on the futures which I guess would equate to about the low 25s on SLV.

I see how your work measures a wave through price, but how does it take into account time? Or doesn't it.

    Thanks again.

Basically, your article tells me what already happened, not what will.

  • Gold Liquidation Now Accelerating [View article]
You may want to define today as judgment day for gold. Macro-economics govern where gold will go in the long-term. Consensus views are that we are on the verge of an economic recovery. If this is wrong, and I believe it is, gold, stocks, bonds could all do something different than what we see today. When QE levels are changed, it will be an increase not "tapering." How long tapering will be the "talk" is hard to say, be eventually it will go away. In the meantime, technicals and sentiment are the best predictors for short term moves. Seems like we are closer to the end of the move, than the beginning or middle. If you own on margin, you may not survive this bear on one last move lower, but those are the weak hands, not the strong.

  • Is Gartman Right About Shorting the Dow and Gold? [View article]
Extremely unreadable and hard to follow article. When I heard Gartman say he was short gold as a hedge, I was surprised. In the past he was a little late, but not completely wrong. Time will tell...
