Trucker YRC's Presumptuous TARP Funds Application

I'm a Teamster Shop Steward in California for YRC and I have to say that there is some truth to Driessen's comment on the Union being more flexible with regards to work rules. The lack of a "productivity quota" allows people to abuse company time at an alarming rate but this is only half of the problem...the other half falls squarely on the shoulders of management as a whole. Both in the area of overspending from the bottom line, we have enough subsidiaries to choke a horse, and from a high turnover rate among inexperienced front-line supervisor's coupled with an excess of middle management contradicting each other. From top to bottom this Corporation has lost it's focus, but I do belive we are gaining it back! I believe strongly that YRC has reset itself in such a way that WHEN the economy begins it's upswing, we will be in an excellent position to climb back up the ladder to regain our full market share in the LTL Sector!
