  • ConocoPhillips: Dividend Fact Sheet [View article]
I have read many articles saying great things about COP but I am puzzled about the news that Warren Buffett had sold all his COP and XOM positions. I myself have COP (and XOM) in my Roth and I wonder what I should do.

  • Have Johnson & Johnson Shares Pretty Much Peaked For 2015? [View article]
JNJ is doing well. It does not need those 2-cent opinions from self-serving analysts. Analysts always "recommend" something different to give themselves work to do and create their own PR. BAX listened to those analysts and it is splitting in early 2015. Then after the company splits, probable another group of the analysts will recommend "merger" for the reason of products & service "diversity". Talk is cheap.

  • The Oil War No One Talks About [View article]
"to be a strong play for profits in the spring of 2014." You meant "in the spring of 2015." ?

We are quite heavy in investing in oil. We are wondering if we should lighten up.

  • Is Chevron A 'Forever Hold'? [View article]
I recently bought XOM and COP before the oil crash. Yes, I feel very depressed. To add insult to injury, one of the prominent guy - a analyst or fund manager... - predicted that barrel went from $101 down to $90, then $81 and according to this guy, oil will be eventually FREE because no one wants it.

Can you believe "FREE"? My question is "Why should an oil company do all the work for FREE?" They rather close the door and go sleep.

You said it very well. I feel that love-or-hate, it will take a long time for oil-free infrastructure to be built. Instead of feeling depressed, may be I will take this opportunity to add more shares. Thank you for sharing your viewpoint.

  • Should You Consider Adding To An Already Oversize Position In Berkshire? [View article]
I had traded BRK.A back in 2000, and BRK.B options for the last several years. The single reason I had not bought any BRK shares was the eventual "going away" of Mr. Buffett. I believe that BRK will crash at that news because Mr. Buffet's knowledge and integrity is very hard to replace as we already saw that there are plenty of Madoff around.

  • Why I Will Start Social Security At Age 62 [View article]
This is absolutely "looking at Social Security from another lense." You have a very valid point. Many 60ish people are considering to claim SS at 62 because they could not find another job after being laid off. Definitely they should look at this matter from your viewpoint. Thank you.

  • 3 Questions To Determine If The iPad Is Dead [View article]
Sale will plateau at some point. After all, how many iPads each one of us needs? If iPad is dead then Surface and Kindle Fire are even more rotten.

  • Can Microsoft Thrive In A Mobile World? [View article]
Just a correction: AAPL is listed on NASDAQ, not OTC as stated in this line:

"Is there still room for Microsoft in the mobile market with heavy competition from Apple (OTC:APPL) and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL)?"

  • Short Google, Because Arrogant Behavior Has Its Limits [View article]
I think it should be ILLEGAL if the public do not have a voice (voting rights) in the public company that they own. Those two guys just want the cake (your money) and eat it too. I am not a google shareholder but could not wait for someone or institutions to come forward to file a class action lawsuit against Google.

Think about it: what if the two guys die in an accident? Who would control Google? Their survivor wives and babies? Just could not believe this.

Well. If you the shareholders do not have a say, then in effect, Google is just using your money to do business and therefore they should pay you interest.

  • Are Apple's Margin Risks Overblown? [View article]
I understand the concern of compressed margin was the reason why AAPL went from 700 to 400ish. There are tons of articles talking about this but what about Samsung, GOOG, AMZN margin when they try to sell their hardware at cost? How much money do they make, how much debts and cash they have on hands?

Can any SA author please dissect AMZN, GOOG, Samsung's margin to see why they are better than AAPL. Thank you.
