  • Tesla: An Idea, A Dream, A Concept [View article]
    George,

I love your analysis but I believe that you will be proven wrong.

Musk's ideas are things that I've been waiting ALL my life for.
Failure is not an option for us. There is a sea change in car tech. We want clean solutions that are solar and wind driven.
I am getting off oil. I will walk before I purchase another icv.
Many of todays youth are thinking similarly.
Musk's bus is loading,, Are you On board?

  • Tesla Motors (TSLA +3.2%) CEO Elon Musk pushes for support in Texas on a bill which would allow electric vehicle manufacturers to sell cars directly to consumers. Though the automaker has won a few victories in other states, the battle against Texas auto dealers could be a bit tougher. [View news story]

I'm just enjoying the discussion about a life changing direction that Elon Musk is undertaking.

  • Buffalo Wild Wings - Wings. Beer. Sports. Profits. [View article]
I no longer troll for anything. I only observe what some food addictions will do over time.

Long ago I gave up cigarettes. But watched as a good friend eventually died from the addiction.

If you are young and healthy wings and a few beers will only leave you with a hangover. After watching my stepfather throw away 18 years in the military over alcoholism, I understand the cost of addiction.

But, if you like chicken, wings are the worst, bottom of the barrel in taste. Free roaming chicken, slow cooked, baked, olive oil rub, pepper, minimal salt delicious with a Guiness.

why invest in a company that just adds to long term healthn problems?

Long term buying this crap on a regular basis will catch up to you. A fair number of my family and friends are addicted to wings and beer and smokes,,,

Glad I finally saw the writing on the wall,,,

  • The Anti-Bloomberg Stock Portfolio [View article]
    Brad,
Your comments tell me that you need some seasoning .
    Life experiences so to speak.
I've never worked around someone that did not drink or smoke occasionally.Congratul...

It may be hard for some to understand addicitions and their cost if one has not had the problem.
It took me a long time to stop smoking, but I did.

I watched a friend die of cancer because he could not quit.
    I attended his funeral.
I notice that you quote Lincoln.
As you may also know of a quote from Jesus. "live by the sword, die by the Sword,,,
And you know what happened to Lincoln.

    Brad,
I'm not attempting to "outlaw" smoking or drinking. But There are social costs to choices we make.
Have you fired a gun in the military in battle?
    Have you
defended your home against an intruder with a weapon?
A relative of mine killed a burglar .His wife died of a heart attack.
He never lived in that house again.
    Our family was torn apart.
    There were no winners .

    Brad,
You are such a "numbers guy". But you have not figured the "social cost" of using these products an a regular basis.
I challenge you to compute the "cost" of drinking a few Buds with friends after work, or smoking a few cigarettes for 15 years,,,

Why do you see labeling that says cigarettes cause cancer!
Have you lost a friend caused by a drunk driver?

  • Sharpen your pencils Tesla Motors (TSLA) traders: In his interview with Bloomberg TV (previous) Elon Musk gives some off-the-cuff sales guidance, saying he sees an environment where the EV firm sells 10K-12K units per year in Europe and Asia on top of 10K-15K units in North America. That you would bother to construct such a portfolio confirms that you have way too much time to waste!

The products listed will eventually shorten ones life .

Guns are faster, destroying lives, but then who's paying attention.

Use your brain and health to help others improve their lives, not destroy it.

Life is more than just the bottom line.

  • An editor with The New York Times backs up Elon Musk's claims that a reporter's test drive of a Tesla Motors (TSLA) was flawed, saying "casual and imprecise notes" were taken during the trip. Though falling short of saying the reporter sabotaged the drive intentionally, it's a major win for Musk and the company in the high-profile PR battle[View news story]
One thing one learns in life is to pay attention to change.

After 60 + years shelling out $ to big oil and the big 3 ,it's refreshing to watch Elon Musk turn the auto industry upside down.

It's a better way to get from A to B.

Embrace it! It beats the cost of oil spills,,,,,

  • Tesla Motors (TSLA -2.2%) will report Q4 earnings on February 20 to end the speculation over where production numbers stand. The debate on Tesla has shifted for the moment to a dissection of the Elon Musk vs. New York Times battle over battery range. The Atlantic's Rebecca Greenfield says Elon Musk's rants aren't helping the firm, while the Reformed Broker admonishes critics of the EV innovator by asking them how great was the reception on their first cellphone before telling them to "lighten up" a bit. [View news story]
