    • Fannie & Freddie Bailout? - Fast Money Recap (9/5/08) [view article]
I see our government bailout of Fannie, Freddie, Bear or anything else moves us closer and closer to socialism. Elect Obama and a democratic majority in congress and watch the socialism expand to levels that would make LBJ's "Great Society" welfare state seem like a drop in the bucket. Understand that government bailouts and welfare state policies give more and more power to the federal government. Therefore, taking away individual choice, freedom and liberty. For every government handout at taxpayer expense expect the State to decide your fate. We will see on November 4 if citizens want big daddy government --yes, those goof balls in congress -- to tell you what to do and when to do it. Sep 06 01:13 PM

Hedge funds remind me of cocaine. People still do those things? 2% and 20% is a con game for suckers that have too much money to waste. It is a fantastic gig for hedge fund managers (glorified paper shufflers) and those brokers that sell this crap to deep pockets. Aug 25 07:56 PM

    • Why $200 Oil Is Good for US Markets [view article]
$200 oil will be good for those that are long oil futures, own oil service, drilling companies, Canadian oil trusts and are short the U.S. dollar. Otherwise, I don't see it benefiting that vast majority of individual money management morons that encompass the general population. Aug 25 07:46 PM
    • The Obama Plan: We Can't Entitle Our Way Out of Paying Taxes [view article]
The demise of the pension system will be giant problem when people start retiring. Why? The 401k system IS better than the monthly pension system. But, people are not putting enough money away to take advantage of the 401k system. I have worked at places that the majority of people are not even in the 401k plan. They are morons. If they do finally sign up, they put as little as possible in instead of the max allowed. The fact that so many people carry credit card balances month to month makes my point, too. Poor fiscal responsibility is not just the federal governments domain. Many individuals are ignorant, too, when it comes to basic money management. Aug 25 07:42 PM
