  • Israel's Current Economic Miracle: Lessons for the U.S. Economy? [View article]
By the way, at its inception, the collective socialist model served Israel well in the initial leap from desert and swamp to achieving agricultural milestones and creating the cohesion and singularity of vision needed in a threatening environment, especially pre-1948. Israel will continue to do what she has to do until the Messianic age arrives.

  • Israel's Current Economic Miracle: Lessons for the U.S. Economy? [View article]
"... inflicting the same abuses they suffered over the centuries upon their neighbors."

Rubbish. Go there and see for yourself. Israel, by the way, has learned to resolve the seeming conflict between free market strategies and social welfare. Israel has a socialist heritage (the kibbutz) and has found a way to balance the "three pillars" of human existence: "benevolence," "justice (severity) " and "splendor " which is the sum of those two in perfect balance.

Beyond the political aspect, I need to mention a couple of companies trading here in US that are doing amazing things... CGEN /Compugen is doing computer modeling unlike anything done before. Their influence is being felt more and more as they partner with big pharma who can't afford to waste time developing therapies using trial and error. Several tech companies are making an impressive mark....VOCL, CRNT, NESS...and lets not forget GIVN who created that tiny camera one can swallow in order to help diagnose ailments of the digestive system. TEVA is partnering with CVM who have a revolutionary approach to Cancer therapy.

In the future, what will we, as a species, value? Cures for diseases, smart energy, clean air and water, or....... gold?

So don't. You haven't, obviously read my answers to two other posters who JUST DON'T GET IT!

Have you ever engaged in an endeavor that required persistence in the face of headwinds and naysayers because they didn't share your vision or understand your objectives? Ever have the experience of having to wait for credible allies to join your cause before it gained credibility? That's the answer to AF's spurious and vacuous claims.

Anyone, like this commentator, who denigrates this stock does so without substantiation----because there is none. Many "penny" stock companies are marginally or unprofitable in initial window of time for various and comprehensible reasons, yet the stock maintains its integrity and, eventually, pays off. So, what is the "forest" and what the "trees" except fatuous argument (if you can even call it that) and the obvious lack of any facts?

As I've said many times before, despite any negative hype, TEVA is behind LEAPS technology. That is all investors need to know, but thanks to VFC, we have more.

No mention of the Modovox case against TW/AOL which will stall the "divorce." The case posits that AOL's Tacoda exploited Modovox's patent on targeted advertising. Any info on how that is shaping up to be resolved?

Gerbino interview, very interesting. Makes perfect sense to me. I urge everyone to read it. The Indian gold purchase should, as he says, be one of foreboding. Really thoughtful analysis.

Kids like a zillion apps. It's like satellite TV. How many friggin channels can you watch in a lifetime? When asked why I have basic cable, I tell em that I can barely stand the channels I have. I don't watch most of em so why would I want more? Same with apps. Different phones suit different folks with differing priorities. I think RIMM is definitely undervalued and they can perfect what their niche wants most and but also cater to a group that may not want to pay for a gazillion apps they know they will never use. To each his own. I personally don't like touch-screen keyboards. Too easy to make mistakes. To each his own!

  • Clunkers Program Cost $24K per Vehicle - Government Ready to Waste Even More [View article]
If there is to be no regulation, then there should be no bail-outs. If there is to be responsibility, then it has to be across the board. The two faces of it all. Don't regulate, then intervene. Virtually no interest EXCEPT when you use a credit card! Then the rate is astronomical. Inverted, distorted, discombobulated and, ultimately explosive. In a couple years, I intend to be living in Israel which, compared to this place, is relatively safe!

  • U.S. Accounting Irregularities Not Exception to the Rule [View article]
Rotten inside and out. The only ingestible fare are those companies that are doing real business and creating what people really need. The problem is that we just can't wrap our minds around the idea of an economy that isn't growing in leaps in bounds. In the realm of physiology, that's cancer. Can't we find a model that can accept stasis punctuated with natural cycles of modest growth and contraction? That's not capitalism, is it!

Thanks for your continued support. The Yahoo board on CVM is a hoot! There is an immunologist who, when he appears, offers scholarly explanation of the science. I remind everyone that since TEVA is partnered with CVM, they can sleep assured that AF's desperate attempts at defamation won't work. ZZZzzzzz.....
    Go CVM!

  • Cel-Sci: Why I'm Buying if the Price Dips [View article]
URGENT READ: Four of my posts appeared and then were removed from THE STREET because, I presume, I accused them of carrying out a vendetta against CVM and, indirectly, TEVA. I just kept posting. Eventually, they locked me out!!!!! That's was cowards they are. They have neither integrity, to say nothing of their lack of intellectual capital. I am too naive to understand why they are so intent on destroying this stock, and they won't prevail, of course. I just think this exposure is important to note. THE STREET is unscrupulous. They are a scourge upon the intent of well-meaning investors to see some good done in the world!!!!!
