  • Amazon: $389 Or $209? Pick Your Scenario [View article]
More fun with numbers. I especially like the "in 2024" part, as if anyone knew.

  • One Thing Is Odd [View article]
This is no different than you not understanding why AMZN currently does not trade on earnings. You do not understand that so it is no surprise that you do not understand how and why this moves the stock. You are stuck in a world of being confused why some stocks trade on metrics, some do not, and why that is so. You would be better off trading Wal-Mart, IBM and GE where metrics matter all of the time and you can play with the numbers until you are blue in the face.

Nothing odd at all. It is all about e-commerce not the ancillary stuff. The other products and services play support roles in the main business of e-commerce. Pretty simple, really.

Another rehash. Does anyone see anything new? How about just one thing?

Just once I would like to see one of these authors go into a store, interview someone and write something new.

"Gary will tell you he likes to swim naked"

Yes we do a lot of that here at the beach. Among other naked things.

The BMW? That's a dead, cold, hands situation!! At least for 2 years when the M4 convertible is in full production. LOL

  • Amazon: Profit Is Not In The Dictionary [View article]
"What Amazon does with its cash is plow it back in the business to develop more scale and services to further that trend. When Amazon stops spending and growing it will be a stock for you and not me."

This is a difficult concept for them. They will still ask where are the earnings? They do not get that this stock does not trade on earnings and has not for years. They do not get that the CEO says earnings are currently not a priority. They do not understand when the CEO says "your margin is my opportunity". So they write articles and posts about the metrics and the injustice of it all. Their loss.

Funny and great stuff KingFishXX. By now you see there is a vocal minority here. They have lost big money betting against Amazon year after year. They are whiners who as you say soon "will cry over their losses again". The good news is it is easy pickings and they are here for your amusement. lol

"Apple does not invest and innovate? Are you serious?"

Ok I will spell this out for you. Until earlier this year they were perceived as sitting on 70+B in cash and were punished with a single digit P/E. Recently they have cut loose with dividends, buybacks and buying a few companies and are starting to be rewarded.

Now you are up to date and should be able to keep up from here.

Simple. $334 at about 1PM. I suspect a lot more in 5-10 years.

    Yes, all of them.

    You don't know what is.

Wall Street rewards spending on investing and innovating (Amazon) not cash (Apple). Thanks for providing the perfect example.

It's all about e-commerce (YOY sales up 24%) not this trivial stuff.
