Stop trying to tell me what to write. You will be lucky to break even just like him. He has made no money. None. By his own admission. You will have to be lucky to do the same. Short selling companies that the top most respected analysts make their top pick for 2015 is for losers.

"the author repeatedly claims he does NOT understand."

lol ... and goes on to show he does not. Just like the other author who writes article after article and then one that says says how wrong he is -
    http://seekingalpha.co...?

"I don't like seeing trades counter to mine that I don't understand. So naturally, this shook my confidence in my short position. The stock continued to rally to its Black Friday close of $338.64. What was I missing? Did I fully understand Amazon's business activity?"

Incorrect, but yes if you were to say good money in hitching your wagon to scoundrels like Icahn. NFLX, AAPL, etc. works for me!

Oh I don't know I find it hard to know many Prime customers it may generate, how many it may keep, what the goodwill associated with these kind of deliveries is worth. In fact I find that kind of statement unquantifiable, unknowable BS.

Oh I don't know, because I can? Because I find it a fascinating company? Because it's cold outside? So I can irritate you and your ilk? LOL

Here is a clue - People will save the ice cream for the now infrequent one bag stop for what they do not get from Amazon Fresh. Most, apparently not all, people will figure that out.

As for toilet paper it is probably one of the leading reasons for joining $99/year Prime. I have the boxes delivered to the beach home another to the mountain home. done.

Trying to parse those sentences I can not make much sense out of them. Not that it matters because I suspect that number is WAY OFF BASE. But as long as we are making wild nonsense guesses mine would be the most the majority of people do is glance at year end mutual fund statements.

    "Analysts Stand Behind Amazon"

It is pretty simple, really. They are real analysts that use research tools and access to company executives, suppliers, partners, smart money fund managers, etc. They are not internet article writers and posters who merely play with already available numbers and come up with nonsense articles about diapers.

I pay attention to whatever they have to say and next to nothing I read here.

Here is how off base you are -

The two lines of business for Amazon that matter are,

    wait for it...

    e-commerce
    AWS

You did not mention (or are unaware of) either one.

Study up and come back later.
