"The author of this article does not have a Prime Membership fee so he cannot do an exact comparison, but based on the forums, he believes that the findings of price discrepancies by other Prime Members are credible."

Sure then. No problem basing it on internet posters and rumors! LOL

    "guaranteed"

I believe that is your word not mine.

And I like the odds of being correct to whatever you are saying.

"Imagine Apple - or any other successful company - always relentlessly working on 1,000 different things."

Do you mean like every other tech company? Do you mean like Google where EVERY TECH works on their own idea 1 day a week?

  • Whole Foods Market Faces A Short-Term Threat [View article]
The author is living in a dreamworld. If anything the difference will be maintained by even cheaper "conventional" food pricing because of more effective, cheaper chemicals.

And let us not forget GMO. This is "food" modified at the genetic level to be more resistant pests, weeds etc. Science is only in the early stages of gauging the effects of this but an increasingly health conscious food buying public is well aware of the issues. Whole Foods is requiring all food suppliers to GMO label by 2018 or they will be banned.

By the way, half of all food sold at Walmart now is banned at Whole Foods-

Given the same gross margins, of course. Who is saying otherwise? I hope not this article which I did not read.

It it quite simple really. Artificial fertilizer, fungicides, pesticides, weed killers and other chemicals increase yields. What it all does to your body is, of course, quite another matter.

Here is a Newsflash - Kroger and the like have had a few organics on the shelves for decades. Farms and farmer's markets have been around forever. We have been hearing about competitors for Whole Foods for decades.

None of it has made a difference for Whole Foods who has just gotten stronger and bigger as it is well on its way in the 1200 store plan. Long term investors in Whole Foods have done extremely well all the while the "alternative" anecdotes continue. The last I looked that is what this forum is about.

Yes you seeing a store throwing some organic lettuce on the shelves and you calling them a Whole Foods competitor is an anecdote. The very definition of it.
