  • Will Apple Earnings Gain From Samsung's Pain? [View article]
Kevin, This is author's wishful thinking. If smartphone sales are weak for Samsung (which has lower prices and wider acceptance in the world markets), it will most likely be weak for other brands too.

  • Lumber Liquidators' House Of Cards Came Crashing Down [View article]
Michael Blair article on SA: "Last September, I issued an article suggesting investors liquidate this stock or risk losses. The stock was $108 then, and it is now $54. In my view, the descent is far from over and $27 is in plain sight".
Caution, Short sellers will raise the stock price in the near term. Just as the WK (RuB them) repeats the last Thursday "infomercial" as NEWS.

  • Lumber Liquidators' House Of Cards Came Crashing Down [View article]
It's difficult to tell just how much it will end up in short and long run. Let's see:
1- Will the homeowners complaints turn into a Class Action lawsuit?
2- Will share holders find accounting problems with the Earnings in the past three quarters? You may ask WHY? Insider share ownership is extremely low. If the previous quarters stock price run-up was REAL, Insider ownership had to be much higher.
As for predictions, I can only mention what Brokerage houses are doing: The principle they use is this: 'If you want to know what the future holds, Make the Future'. Case in point, on July 9 they spread the company buyout rumors and LL share climbed $6 in that day. The next day, (A)- rumor proved to be false and (B)- the Lumber Liquidators slashed their previous forecast and the stock slipped $22. (and no one yelled TIMBER!).

1- Don’t feel so bad. Brokerage houses pay million dollar salary and bonus to (Their) anal-ysts for their pumping efforts. Here is one of them: Canaccord Genuity reiterated their Buy rating and lowered their target price to $100.00 from $122.00, on July 10, this was done AFTER the Lumber Liquidators Company warning !!!. (Hyphen is intended!). I guess they have a lot more LL shares to shed.
2- Consider this: SOME of the company revenue comes from the shares that the company holds (Direct or indirect). When the stock price goes down, it affect the revenue and therefore hits the bottom line (Again). So you will see the "Revenue" and the "Stock Price" become a cat chasing her own tail, in circle.

It is interesting to compare the LL chart with that of GMCR (From Sept. 2011 to Nov. 2011). GMCR hit a lower bottom in Jul. 2012, before it turned around. Different industries of course, but the comparison is a good indication of the traders mentality and reaction to Company problems - Accounting manipulation vs Sourcing problems.
2- If First Solar (FSLR) and Silicon Image (http://bit.ly/1s5441s), are the trend after Revenue slash, LL has more down slide, before turning up - if ever. [Remember, HD, LOW, COST, etc are offering Hardwood flooring materials].

1- Thanks for your article. I read your previous article again and had a few chuckles at the commenters (Who proved to be wrong). Your point about the repeat customers is great.
2- Mideast Time: "Analysts at ISI Group raised their price target on shares of Lumber Liquidators Holdings to $22.30 in a research note on Thursday".
3- On July 10, 2014, Traders bought 4,919 (LL) put options (305% more than normal).
What will be the price After this firework? Still $50 ish?

  • Why I Shorted InvenSense Inc. [View article]
It will be nice if SA would print a Summary Table of each authors past recommendations as intro to their new articles. That will put Cramer's gang in their place.
Something similar to the three examples you posted (Or the ones that the Author posted to your comment).
I regret not getting into TSLA at $38 when a popular SA author trashed it, a while back....

I read the MF push for INVN, when it came out (BTW, I did not pay for it - I'm not A "fool"). Here is my question: If iWatch needs components from INVN, why AAPL does not acquire the company?

  • A Pricier Amazon Prime Could Be The Wrong Step To Generate Profits [View article]
All "prime eligible items" are priced at least $3.99 HIGHER than the non-prime. The only difference is the "faster delivery" with Prime, for which you pay an annual fee of $79.00 or more. If you order a non-prime item, and ask for "Priority Mail shipping", it costs $3.00 more and the package arrives with the same speed as Prime free shipping. So, to recover your annual fee you have to make only 30 purchases in a year.
Then all your other Member benefits (Movies, eBooks, etc.), are at no cost
