  • Amazon Stock: Gambling On Jeff Bezos [View article]
    Million$Man,

Amazon's innovations may be timeless and never ending, but as an investor I do not wish my wait for profit and free cash flow to be.

One can only depend on the 'greater fool theory' for so long- Having built scale there comes a time to prove the concept by showing Profits and free cash flow!

  • IDC Smartphone Forecast Is Bullish For Apple [View article]
MB - Though I often disagree with many of your opinions on AAPL I respect your action in publishing information which does not support your own views.

With respect to developing countries and 'seeing the forest instead of just the trees'- might I suggest to you that you look at them this way: APPLE may be expected to have about 50% of the 'Premium'(high-end) market in these countries, which is initially very small proportionally (to the overall market). But, due to the countries rapid GDP growth / development, this segment will be growing very rapidly in the not too distant future.

Hence they are likely to be an increasingly important source of growth for AAPL, and I believe at a more rapid rate than many of the posters here realize. This will particularly be the case as soon as a larger iPhone hits the market.

  • Comparing Two Taranaki And East Coast Basin Plays [View instapost]
In my opinion, the problem with NZEC is 'Moral Hazard',- or to put it kindly- I no longer trust the management. I Strongly urge you to do a very thorough DD on that company and it's leadership before investing.

  • Why I Continue To Invest In Apple [View article]
It would be interesting to see the results of a study similar to that of your 1950-2009 DJIA study except using ,for example, a simple Price to Sales ratio (with different upper and lower % bounds) compared to the Price to Sales ratio average for the preceding (say) 5 years.
If the results, with appropriately chosen bounds, were at least as impressive as those reported,- it would indicate that the main factor at work is 'a reversion to the mean' and not necessarily any logic related to Mycroft Free Cash Flow.

  • Apple's Italian Tax Woes Are Just The Tip Of The Iceberg [View article]
    Lallemand,
What is the meaning of legitimate? How can something be legal but illegitimate ?
It is the lack of clear thinking and expression that you so clearly illustrate that is causing much of the world's problems today!

  • The Truth Behind Apple's Numbers [View article]
Far from showing that AAPL is worth less, I believe your article aptly illustrates the 'genius' of AAPL's model in generating a vastly superior ROIC. This is no 'flash in the pan' - AAPL's ROIC has been superior for many years and has been increased despite their entering what was already 'competitive' fields prior to their entry e.g. cellphones.

I suggest that AAPL's superiority has not been the result of just being in the right place at the right time, but of a well thought out and executed strategy.

  • Apple Is Worth $265 [View article]
Are you suggesting that the stock will be worth (terminal value) a fraction of the cash on the Company's balance sheet in 2017??

Your valuation suggests that the Company would have a negative
Enterprise value in 2017 if they just maintained their current performance- Do you really think this is even remotely likely?

Hope you have not been conned by CHMR - If so I strongly suggest you do some research. Suggest you start by reading the two part article on CHMR posted on SA, and suppplement by your own due diligence. As I have found out from personal experience, there is virtually no protection provided by the SEC to the investing public.
