My formal education is in Mechanical Engineering but investing in equities has been my passion since I was a teen. Three years ago I gave up the traditional "9 to 5" (in my case more like "7 to 6") world to manage my investments full time. It has been an interesting period to say the least but I'm happy to report that I survived and even prospered during the great market crash of 2008. I primarily focus on "value" companies with market caps under $200 million but I'm not opposed to purchasing large caps when they're insanely undervalued (e.g. GE at $9) or even parking free balances in SPY for short periods of time. All in all, life is good!

I haven't heard much talk about what is likely to happen to the price of dividend stocks going into 2013. The tax rate is set to double! Aug 27, 2012
