    Healthy competition has kept these technologies moving fast forward for a while now -- removing that competition would breed monopolistic and 'lazy' tendencies, unfortunately.

    I think its important for these companies to stick to their business model of offering key solutions free of charge and offering support contracts for large enterprises (much like RHEL works)
