    Mac OS is Unix!!! Unix is time-tested by the researchers and users (government, universities and industry) since 1969 (www.levenez.com/unix/). It has been hacked and improved countless times. Unix was and is still the preferred OS for secure, networked, multi-user computing!!! Mac OS is BSD Unix that has user-friendly GUI.
