Excellent article - one of the most complete summaries I've seen on TIVO. Judge Folsom’s ruling (which is a great read by the way) was a home run for TIVO. There is definitely a large upside on TIVO even with their recent gains though I would expect some profit taking and a pull back if a "permanent" stay is granted (though that scenario does seem unlikely, DISH was granted a stay previously when it also seemed somewhat unlikely). Stay or no stay, this does change the game dramatically. With the pending TIVO/Comcast launches into wider markets and international moves, I expect that we'll continue seeing "good" news out of the TIVO camp for quite some time.
With their IP validate, the string of legal victories and the pending injunction (again) - TIVO has the leverage/position to negotiate a licensing fee greater than $1.25 per DVR subscriber (probably somewhere around $2.50) with DISH and others (which has not been factored in). TIVO's continued transformation into a software/services/adve... company will add real revenue numbers to the bottom line.

Long on TIVO.
