$ can go as low as a role of toilet paper, 200 double sheets are a $ 1.67; unfortunately the $ lacks the required smoothness

  • Why a Weaker Dollar Is Good for Stocks [View article]
This idea that a weak dollar is good for anything is utter BS. You cannot deflate your way into prosperity. Stop that nonsense immediately.
I know what I am talking about. I brought hard Euro into this country and see them dwindling away on a daily basis. Big regret.

    Mark,

I really appreciate your continued enthusiasm about palladium in particular since it took a nosedive since last year. Reminds me that you should not be in love with a stock.

The one thing that does not make sense to me: If the palladium mines are in the red and they have real pricing power, why would they not use it? I would. Mind to elaborate?

Or do you have in mind building a cartel? That is sticky, would it not?

  • Land Driller Sector Outlook: It's All About the Natural Gas [View article]
    enki09,

if you compare the heating values of the feed and fuel that go to a steam reforming process with the heating value of the H2 product hat you want to use as fuel you will conclude that you are loosing about 25 % in the conversion, even if you allocate a decent thermodynamic value to the by-product steam. Why in the world would you do this just to convert one fuel to another? You can use your veggie oil directly in a motor and use all of the heating value.

That argument makes Ford actually a good deal. Your stock can only to zero and you never have to pay back the full amount of debt.

  • S&P 500's 10 Attractive Growth Stocks [View article]
I find it unbelievable that AZO shares the same valuation category like COH. Has anybody of your experts ever looked at AZO's balance sheet? AZO has managed to maneuver their equity into negative territory by using all of their cash flow plus some debt to buy back Mr Lamperts shares at a juicy price. Looks like some body has raided the company.

  • Why GM Is Ready for a Rebound [View article]
GMGMQ had a huge bounce today following the announcement of Mr Henderson about the restructurization of GM. Seems they ruffle some feathers which helped investor confidence..

What will happen with this stock? Any ideas, anyone?

Time to buy into? Triple or total loss? Seems GM falls in the to-big-to fail category like the banks.

  • Corporate Leverage: Trouble Ahead? [View article]
AZO amazes me all the time. With a share price of around $155 and a ratio FCF/Share of about 1/16 the stock seems to be not quite cheap.

After the Aug 08 10-Q statement I noticed, that if the Goodwill is being removed from the balance sheet AZO would own NOTHING.

Now with the latest May 09 10-Q you dont even have to remove the Godwill anymore. The equity is already < 0.

Q: Who in the world buys that crap?

A: AZO themselves, they spend all their cashflow plus some to buy back shares at record prices.

When has that strategy ever paid off?

    Nuke!

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You for your analysis.
This is the article that I have been waiting for this year.
This day with RMBS took care of all the birthday, Christmas and Easter presents for my family, possibly a new car and two computers for my little girls.

No I am kidding, am not spending the gains yet. I am holding out till $ 300.

    Thanks again.
