It occurred to me that you might not know what I do. You may know that I am a Registered Financial Advisor and Managing Director of Trinity Investment Services. You may not know that I am an avid runner who completed his first 5K run last year. Or that I am a strong advocate for the abused and neglected children of our community through my work with CASA of Harrison County. And you likely are not aware that I proudly serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Mississippi Public Broadcasting and the Gulfport Rotary Club – just two organizations of which I am affiliated. You see, oftentimes there is this idea that your business life and personal life should be kept separate. In some aspects, I would agree with that idea. But I am of the belief that you should approach your work in many of the same ways you approach life in general. After all, it’s the experiences and the people in my life that matter the most. I also firmly believe that in business, it’s people – my clients – that matter most. Part of what I focus on in my work is really putting in the time to get to know my clients. Just as I mentioned some of my own personal hobbies and interests, I aim to learn more about others than just their name and occupation. Life is something that we all experience in different ways and what an honor it is to be able to share stories, memories, talents, and interests with others. Life is not, of course, all about money and investments. It’s about, well, life. I hope to talk to you about the power of the indomitable spirit that resides in each of us. The world has become darker, and I want to play my small part in assuring you and those close to you that we will eventually come through the malaise.
