POT's exports are paid in US $ while all expenses and wages in Canada are paid in Canadian $. Like most exporters in Canada, I would think POT would rejoice when the US $ goes up against the Canadian $.

That's easy to explain. We have our share of these corporate welfare bums in Canada. They pit one government against the other, be they countries, states or provinces trying to get the most subsidies they can leech or tax concessions from them or else they threaten to leave and set up shop to the highest bidder. Then they horde their wealth in tax havens avoiding to pay their fair share of taxes.

And when things get rough for these wealthy corporations, although these CEOs make millions, they suck up to government to bail them out while they keep their outrageous gains all the while expecting those who struggle to make ends meet to tighten their belt.

And I am a baby boomer fully supporting these millennium kids, by the way.

I am Canadian. From the outside, the more I see and hear from Sanders, the more I like him. He is so different from the rest of US politicians.

I rejoice to the fact that some of you would endorse him. You are fine neighbors!- Do the right thing and elect a man with a social conscience for a change.

Only the filthy rich can take advantage of tax havens. They call it tax avoidance, a polite term for tax evasion, I might add

These analysts must first short the stock and then drop a bomb like this. They should be tarred and feathered.

I agree. But it's too bad I bought Friday and did not wait until today. One of these days, it's going to turn around. Until then I will collect whatever dividend they give me which will probably always be better than what a bank will pay me in interest.
