I agree. It takes a significant time for the decline in drill count to translate at the other end of the pipes.

I am all in cash now, on the outside looking in. I am not touching NG until the government reserves comes out at 10:30. The rig count is coming down while the production is not following. There does not seem to be any logic to the price of NG. But something has to give; the question is when?

Totally agree! But I'be been wrong before. Like the author says; you just can't predict this commodity. But something tells me to short the sucker to $2.

It's because wells have already been drilled and capped ready to be connected to the system. Better to get $2.50 now than nothing at all. These companies need the $ money $ here, right now!

Rock I am not disagreeing with you; but the timing as to when NG will go in the direction anticipated is almost impossible to predict. But Money talks has a most valid point, as the author.

  • UNG: A Young Natural Gas Bull Rages On [View article]
Having read the previous comments about the big draw expected on Thursday, February 26th; that's all in the past just like the long term forecast for cold weather that are already factored in. What will make the difference is not if, but when some weather forecaster tells us about some new weather models showing a warm-up, and south goes natural gas. It rarely misses; it's much easier than actually predicting the weather. - You just watch!

The weather forecast is a huge wild card trumping everything else in NG trading. You have to admit that this cold at the end of February was a very lucky break for the bulls. In Ottawa Canada, tulips normally come out of the ground by the middle of March. - The bulls better scram for the exit before they get stampeded.

As usual, some weather forecaster is bound to come out with a weather forecast model predicting a change to milder weather. It never fails. Have your laugh now while it lasts. Haven't you heard the old adage: "He who laughs last, laughs best".

The more longs, the better when they will all be cramming for the exit.

That's for this week. And even though they may forecast cold for the following week; there will be new weather models coming out forecasting a change. It never fails.

Our weatherman said on TV that weather forecasts are accurate withing 48 hours; after that, it's a guess.
