  • Joe's Jeans For Sale: Popped On Surprise Earnings Beat, Fell All The Way Back [View article]
Excellent article you wrote. I am long also in JOEZ. One can see that they are building the company to become something greater than a micro cap retailer. In years to come with cash amassing and adding even more brands.. this could become another ICONIX possibly but...thats far away preclusion. I enjoyed you spelling out the obvious...when its busts $3 then everyone will be surprised.

  • This Week's Inflation Report Could Change Everything For Gold [View article]
While i see the chart i want to also stress that many are either out of work or have downsized or havent had a wage increase in years. New jobs do not have the same benefits. For example in my area the local copper fabricator went bankrupt...they sold the factory to a new group who lowered the pay from $18.00 an hour to about $10.50, broke the union, and told guys who had worked there for 20 years to like it or quit.No bonuses, no benefits, insurance for most cut in half. So as much as your chart expresses inflation adjusted to nominal cost is completely false and inaccurate in my opinion since it considers recessions and the great depression but yet the price of Gas has persistently rose and has never adjusted down regardless of what was going on economically and demand for gas in this country has even went down some quarters yet the price never goes down.
What I'm getting at is we are at mid- 1980's versions of our economy again with the majority of people earning below $30,000.00 a year and yet gas is not a buck and will never be a buck again like it was in the 80's The price of a vehicle regardless of make has doubled. Go out and buy a new set of tires or get a oil change... they are not $19.99 anymore.
This federal reserve has manipulated inflation, treasuries, and other world economies and its all about to bust loose. So in a couple years when gas is $5 a gallon or $6 and everyone is making $35 or $40 thousand a year well... i even remember in the mid 1970's .99 cent gas and when it went over a dollar because of the opec embargo my brother had to stand in line for gas and it was rationed out in some cities. Thing is electric gas are a fantasy and they will never be affordable because by the time they come around the electric charge fee will be more than a gallon of gas. They know they got us and the greatest transfer of wealth this world will ever see has already happened.

Thank you for taking the time to publish and create this blog. I enjoy reading it and you have helped me on my journey to investing in Gold.
Currently i have been building cash and own a lot of BAA. I really like Banro when most others do not. I won't bother you with specifics as this since you seem to be intelligent and well informed about Gold Stocks and this is your blog and you probably dont like other investors using it to tout their positions or stocks but regardless i just wanted to say i like what you do and i hope you continue doing it.
    Disclosure : I am Long $BAA

  • Banro Corporation: The Race To Full Commercial Production [View article]
Do you think you could update this article or add something since its been two years now and the stock isn't over $5 anymore its around .60 and a lot of things have changed over the last two years some not so good but most very good as they are about to begin 2 mine production

Mr Village was replaced and the market hated it but Dr Clarke is proving to be a great CEO especially cleaning up some of the mess Mr Village left behind.

New financing in place which should help lower their All in Costs.
Gold has gone down to 1150 and back up to 1385 during that time.
    Two mines starting this year.
But i would rather read something from you since you did such a great job with this article in how about it?

Fantastic article and as a ETAK shareholder i appreciate you making this p.r. more "crystal" clear. There is an entity/trader/institution etc... that has a personal agenda to want to see ETAK PPS not improve for their own personal reason. We have them on this "other" unnamed message board and this person tried to spin your article negative as soon as you published it, which to me seems impossible given all the obvious positive points you have posted but so it goes with some folks.
They still have some issues to fix like replacing a couple board members and addressing what the NYSE is requiring of them to be compliant in regards to the price. But the business model speaks for itself as does the technology. Its better and cheaper for the customer plus they have a niche market thats in desperate need for quality security.

Awesome article and i appreciate the work you put into it.
ETAK has turned so many corners this last two weeks they are too numerous to mention but this article is significant to show how incredible their Validsoft Applications are and the growth that is starting to come their way.

  • 3 Gold Miners Ramping Up Production [View article]
No Apocalypse, No strikes, No one digging holes from the other side of the world straight down and stealing gold chunks from Banro, Nothing but a tiny miss, ignoring all the info you have posted,a bitter former CEO and/or Institutions which seem to be punishing Banro, and business as usual for Banro.
Many have been waiting years for whats coming this second half and yet it has dropped to .65 at one point today. Well i started a position at .71 myself today.
If you ignore all the fundamentals, potential, a looming 18 trillion dollar deficit that this president refuses during his tenor to address, tapering possibly going from 80 billion to 70 billion( theres a difference?lol) and let a modest pullback this month in gold cause one to throw the baby out with the bath water well i guess one would also have to ignore warren buffets basic 101 about buying a stock in order to make a case against Banro. For me i think its time to buy it all!!!!!! best wishes to you and thanks for your article.

  • Opko Health And Ladenburg Thalmann Showing Strong Insider Support And Growth Prospects [View article]
In a few months it will be one year since this article was put out..And even here in June of 2012 what was true then is still true today it seems. As i type the markets after having a incredible run in the first quarter went thru a correction in mid April and have yet to rebound. LTS was not impervious to the down turn falling from a high of near $3 and back down to the $1.30's and now today is back to the $1.50's well what changed? not much really. the acquisition of Securities America is into a third quarter and has made heavy returns to Ladenburgs growth..Aka over 100% the first quarter contributing and over 90% in the second.
Since the first of the year Ladenburg has made several other small acquisitions and has added 3 or 4 top professionals in the financial, banking, and energy sectors....and insider trading.
It can look it up if your interested but insiders have not stopped since September of 2011. If there is one hiccup it is this: LTS went profitable in its last yearly quarter but then in the first quarter of 2012 fell back to a loss because of one time charges and tax reporting...though their EBITDA did increase and management said if not for the charges they would have shown a profit.
As for OPK they are still rolling and getting bigger and better and oh my the insider buying. Its great to be a billionaire in a market correction.

  • RAIT Financial Trust: Darkness At Dawn [View article]
I have loved RAS but the track record for RAS doesnt love me back.. holding this stock long has been a blow to investors...aka last year the Reverse Split and then the stock nosedived again to under $3 again.
One can say part of that is because of what the market has went thru the last 3 years but then again the issue of "whats it worth?" is always relative to "what the market says it's worth?" If im RAS and say "Hey our book value makes us worth $20 a share and we should be trading at 4x's that" well ...thats great but there is alot of persepective that comes into play with their business.
What did you pay for legacy properties? What price did you get in the churn of selling others? What should you have gotten? How do you know its going to be worth what you say it will? You got a deal now but are you getting the same rents that you speculated you should or could get? etc and so forth.
What is the tell for most of these questions?
Revenue. Quarter on quarter cash generation and even with all the card shuffling, tap dancing, and high fives in the CC when the smoke clears for some reason RAS cant create profitable cash generation quarter after quarter....and there is a number of reasons why. This time it was the non-cash mark-to-market adjustments in RAIT’s legacy Taberna portfolios and the associated hedges.”
But once again you listen to the CC and its all candy and nuts and what is "going" to be in the future. Its all about how many great deals we got because of the distressed market. Perception. I want to believe but RAS management is great and taking simple questions and turning out "war and peace" book size answers.
A cup of coffee at Speedway drinks just as well when you got to have it as a Triple Venti Sugar free, Non fat, No foam, extra caramel, with whip caramel macchiato from Starbucks.
