  • The Real Reason China Is Buying Up The World's Gold [View article]
In the end it is all about the military. If you cannot back up law with force, or trade with sanctions, or as last resort military intervention. Just the ability and willingness to use force deters the need to use military action. But if you have no military credibility or refususe to use force, you will be pushed to the wall, and will need to defender's militarily

  • Long Bull Market Showing Cracks [View article]
Nice analysis Bret. But how can the FED raise interest rates, when we are in a recession, if not that, certainly not a strong economy. I presume they know the real numbers in unemployment, and real earnings. The way I see it, if they raise rates, the $$ will get even stronger, driving down the economy, fueling Deflation, not inflation. The market will then wake up . They are boxed into a corner. How to get out without pain. The old cannot get here from there

Saudi Arabia, keeping price down, a hugh winner politically , economically, geopolitically. Who are the losers, Saudi Arabians enemies, Iran, Russia, US shale oil producers, Canadian Oil sands, Venezuela, all at one shot, Oybama plays with Iran, in trying to control ME, all goes up in smoke. Also they get to keep market share and increase it after the crash.
