Alternative Energy - 2006 in Review

I don't understand why you're so negative about hydrogen. While I think that the solution to sustainable energy is probably a combination of many different technologies, I don't think that it's a bad thing that hydrogen-based technology companies have decided to solve the problem of a lack of refueling stations by exploring other business models. For example, Ecotality has hydrogen technology that it is hoping to use in various types of corporate fleets (such as delivery vehicles), where they typically call the vehicles back to a central location where they can be refueled. That way, those adopters can pave the way to more general acceptance and to some extent, can subsidize the creation of a more general hydrogen fueling station network. What is wrong with that? It's not a sign of failure, but adaptability.
