    If they calculated inflation the way they did 30 years ago it'd be running about 10% this year. They keep "official" CPI low because Social Security payments are based off of it.

    Can you imagine the consequences if Germany stated their gold wasn't there? Germany wants its gold, it will wait patiently until the US can scrap it together unless more countries start pushing for audits.

    Demand for physical gold in 2014 continues to outpace the all time high of 2013. People know the game can't go on forever. Paper contracts keeping a lid on gold should be used to your advantage.
