  • Apple: Between Icahn And A Much Harder Rock [View article]
At this point, what's another $12B added to a $150B cash pile. Investors want to know what plans are for that cash.

  • Apple: Management Needs To Vision Tomorrow More Than Explain Today [View article]
Good article. I agree that management giving everyone a peek under the hood every now and then would greatly benefit the perception of the company and the well being of shareholders. No one is asking TC to pump the stock but counting IPhones and IPads and throwing another $12B on the cash pile isn't in the best interest of shareholders.

  • Apple's Secret Weapon Into Earnings And 2014 [View article]
Good article, although I expect an EPS beat do to a reduced share structure.

  • Positive Sentiment In Apple Gives Buy Signal Before Earnings Release [View article]
The likely scenario is AAPL's shrinking share structure helps it post a nice beat on Monday with raised guidance for Q2 due to growth in China. In a market correction money will flow into a company in which the earning multiple is undervalued in an overvalued market. There's a reason AAPL is considered an asset class unto itself. Stay frosty my friends.

  • If AT&T's CEO Is Right, Apple Is In The Perfect Spot. But Can It Keep The Lead? [View article]
GOOG is the poker player that pumps itself up and drags in an occasional pot. AAPL is the poker player that keeps quiet and drags in 4 pots for every 1 pot GOOG drags in. GOOG talks a good game, AAPL plays one. Invest as you wish.

  • Apple Can Bounce, But Buyers Be Patient [View article]
A big part of that was providing a realistic guidance range for the next quarter, something they didn't use to do. I don't think they owe it to analysts by raising guidance if it looks like they're going to beat, especially when they're buying back shares.

Unfortunately when they raised guidance it once again provided an opportunity for analysts to goad others into selling the stock because they were able to raise the bar and show how AAPL "fell short". I hope they don't raise guidance before earnings and just post a huge beat.

Many are expecting growth to return to AAPL. We'll get a good gauge on that January 23. In the meantime the big boys are attempting to push it down as much as possible. Just call it for what it is.

  • What Matters About Apple [View article]
This article contains many of the points I make when discussing stocks with my peers. AAPL might not be a momo stock like AMZN, but momo stocks overextend and then turn on a dime when the game is up. AAPL is a growth stock with already realized net revenue.

Excellent observation. That is precisely what the 5C was made for. The C might as well stand for China.

  • Investors Need To Take Advantage Of Any Near-Term Weakness In Apple's Share Price [View article]
With the free money policy we currently have the street has been pushing the momentum stocks, where profits and valuations mean little to nothing. All that's needed is to pump a growth story. When the market checks up all the sudden profits will matter again, momo stocks will get hurt, and money will flow into companies with big profits and big free cash flow.

  • Apple's Earnings Mediocrity [View article]
Being able to buy $1 of earnings for .60 cents as compared to the rest of the S&P. Either the S&P is overvalued or AAPL is undervalued by about 40%.

  • Apple's Earnings Mediocrity [View article]
It seems that actually showing a profit takes the back seat to pumping a growth story.

  • Apple's Earnings Mediocrity [View article]
Apple beat on the top and bottom line. This was a beat on earnings AFTER analysts revised up. Mediocre? Please. And for the love of all things good and decent, we don't need Cook to be like Bezos. Yes, I know AMZN is a Wall Street darling, but that song will stop too, it always does. Eventually profits matter.

  • Apple: Valuation And Forecasts [View article]
The elephant in the room that was only mentioned in passing was the biggest share buyback in corporate history, the first one being capable of buying back 10% of the float. As long as you're drawing out hypothetical 10 year projections, why not figure in the share structure being reduced 10% every 3 years?
