  • Sears Should Reorganize Its Operations Along Merchandise Lines Into Separate Subsidiaries [View article]
Writer missing a key point. Sears appliances and especially tools and hardware have pretty much always been profitable. The soft goods, clothing have not.

  • Ghosts Of LTCM And 2008 Collide - Putin Is Crushed [View article]
You should have stopped at the first paragraph and the first LTCM debacle and the gov. bailing them out. And how that should never happen again and the arb guys should go rot in a hole somewhere...but nope we did it again in2008...and now we rolled back Dodd Frank and it will happen again. Thank you Jamie Dimon for personally calling your bought and paid for politicians on capitol hill to vote on something your lobbyists wrote!

Try getting a real job that adds value to the economy Write about that.

  • Report: Sony Pictures suspends film shoots [View news story]
Actually even if it is the most egregious breach. Serious? Damaging? Hardly. After some massively bruised ego's get over it this will be old news. It is the media that is blowing it way out of proportion. Even the new lawsuits will get tossed as they need to show Sony was negligent That is like saying that the US was negligent when the Japanese attacked pearl harbor.
North Korea? Also probably not. To get that kind of access it is probably some disgruntled ex IT employee or contractor out in the valley.

  • Oil Producers: Saudi Arabia Knows Exactly What Must Be Done [View article]
Of course its dropping production is up and demand in the west has significantly down..not rocket science. They are losing the ability to significantly control the price anymore....china also want to cut its consumption over the next 10 years.

  • What Does JPM Settlement Mean For Our Bank Of America [View article]
Rather a dumb uninformed article. If you were following BAC you would know..first they canned the idiot that bought Countrywide in first place. Moynihan has lowered costs to the tune of 8billion...which coincidentally is almost the amount they have already offered to settle with the gov. and double the amount that countrywide could have settled on with their assets. The stock price will not take a hit. It will go up when the judge approves this settlement and then the frivolous lawsuit by AIG is dismissed.

  • Why Tesla Won't Be Able To Profitably Build A BMW 3-Series Competitor [View article]
This article shows why you should do your own research.....It does not take into account that the BMW electric is a piece of junk. It is full of compromises, has horrible performance and at twice the price the Tesla is a better buy. The author also did not bring up why BMW delayed the introduction of the car in North America. Why delayed? Because the car's specification is almost identical to a Chevy Volt. When are financial pundits going to learn that unless you understand the value proposition of the product vis a vis the market need and desire you basically are just pushing wind out your backside.

  • Why Tesla's Battery Swapping Won't Work [View article]
Author is correct. Superfast charging will destroy the batteries. But with 1 hour charging and 250mile range who cares.

  • Why Tesla's Battery Swapping Won't Work [View article]
Article misses point. The battery change station is all marketing and they are pushing this to show it can be done so they can knock another negative argument off the block. With 1 hour charging and 250mile range you have killed 90% of the reasons someone would not buy one. The only real obstacle they have is the mafia type dealers associations that are blocking them from selling direct like in Texas. The battery change stations they might do in major metro areas but like I said they announced this for show and not that they would do it. Excellent strategy Mr. Musk...

  • States Need To Get On Board And Allow Tesla Direct Sales [View article]
Get article Tedra but you got off on wrong foot by saying Tesla is a 'luxury' vehicle. In actuality it is state of the art high technology 'Halo' product. An all electric vehicle that was designed with mass production techniques at the forefront and a 5+ year roadmap of offspring. Tesla has very strong business, manufacturing, sales/distribution and development roadmaps....they are also executing to plan and adding consumer value which is amazing and makes tech and internet companies like facebook look like the joke that they are. Stock is overvalued...but also undervalued and the company totally underestimated when the stock was below $50

  • Tesla Motors (TSLA) lost its legal tussle with auto dealers in Texas over its plan to sell electric vehicles directly to consumers. A bill that would have provided an exception to current dealership rules failed to even make it the floor of the Texas House or Senate for a vote. [View news story]
The Mafia could not have done a better job to kill competition and freedom of consumer choice. Go Texas! #1 in Guns per cap. #1 in unlicensed drivers. Another Texas milestone....or is that Millstone.

  • Tesla Motors (TSLA -6.7%) slips as Autodata estimates the company may have sold 1,425 units of its Model S sedan in May. Year-to-date Model S sales are estimated to be about 7,506 units. During Q1, the company produced 400 or more Model S vehicles a week, for a total of over 5,000. [View news story]
Not sure were that misleading headline came from but if you take the guidance on sales forcast for 2013 and overlay on year to date sales and production from Autodata then everything lines up. When was the last time you saw that in the auto slipped because of profit takers not this data....

  • Tesla $110: A Game Of Musical Chairs [View article]
JamesMD has it correct that Tesla is leader in EV and ICE is dead but there is one other thing. Tesla is building a manufacturing company the correct way. They are not focused on 'style' and getting a product out there like misguided people at Fisker, Eton Musk is building a car company the way Ford and Chrysler did. By getting their technology, engineering and manufacturing right first. Get lots of IP and then have a product plan that starts at high end but will eventually result in an under $50K car (the Volt in a real world costs $40K and is a piece of junk). Stock is not going south anytime soon. Tesla upped their guidance for 2013 to 21K vehicles so odds are they will blow by that and without much assistance from overseas. Musk will focus on building domestic support and infrastructure. That is key to future mass adoption and success.....

  • The luxury automobile market in China could take a minor hit with a new regulation banning military license plates from high-end sellers including Lincoln (F), Cadillac (GM), Mercedes-Benz (DDAIF.PK), and Porsche ((POAHY.PK). Though official numbers are hard to come by, the practice of high-ranking officers driving luxury vehicles is common. [View news story]
And the reason? do you even know?

  • BofA Headed Back Below $10? [View article]
BOA headed to single digits....pretty funny. BOA should be in low 20 s by end of year, will have paid back TARP by Feb/Mar. and will increase its dividend to $1 or more by next summer.
