Sanofi-Aventis's 'Voluntary' Staff Departures

Well, those "voluntary" reductions fell particularly hard on staff at the Great Valley, PA, research center. On the very day that Vierbacher courted the media to declare "no forced layoffs", many of us were called to a meeting to be told that our jobs were gone by end of year. Analytical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences departments at GV along with cuts in other departments as well. What exactly constitutes a lie in the minds of these corporate executives is beyond me.
