great time to take profits and go short on JRCCQ ACI ANR etc. they will disclose changes to 2013 pricing in their 10Q's. won't be pretty.

    • pete123: their earnings made a nice bump in the price. BTU is diversified into australia, their 2013 production is 85% priced in. not so for others.

    • krivah: Those three companie, were my first choices in the coal sector. As they say ,once youre down, you can only move up.

    • pete123: @krivah, i'm thinking back and forth happens too. The celebration is premature, price of every single coal flavor is still below breakeven.

    • pete123: All 3 of those had significant unpriced 2013 production at end of Q2. Since 2013 Analyst Estimates are very similar to 2012...

    • pete123: ... I don't think they took this into account. If so now they either priced more 2013 at at more loss, or gamble on waiting more.

    • pete123: I picked ACI for prb exposure, JRCCQ for freakshow value, and ANR just for the heck of it. also all 3 for volatility, short interest,

    • krivah: @pete123 i agree that its too early to celebrate, but the situation itself is positive for the whole industry

    • krivah: and heck of a investment opportunity. I myself picked those three almost on the mere fact that the companies are heavily undervalued

    • krivah: i think that im not the only one, hopefully :)

    • pete123: ... closed ACI put position today, rolling it into JRCCQ.
