  • California's Pension, Education Costs: Out of Control  [View article]
Didn't I recently read a recent WSJ article that mentioned the annual pension of a small CA town supervisor that is $499,000+? Now, That's a PENSION! And I doubt that he was in a union, but perhaps he was. OTOH, I guess that isn't a state liability.

  • Why Sheila Bair Will Lose to Geithner [View article]
One slight modification re: Geithner - more accurate to refer to him as Summers' puppet (or marionette if you prefer).

Liked your article; liked your take.

Re: the aiders and abettors, i.e., Congress and the Exec. Br. putative "regulators." A recent "Playboy" observation captured things well, to wit, "Congress should wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers so we can (better) tell who their sponsors are."

  • My Thoughts on Bernanke, Boeing and Citibank [View article]
I've never read your stuff before. That said, I really like your style and take on the issue(s). TY.

Yeah, I supported Obama and like him. Notwithstanding, I am not happy with many of his administration's puny efforts. The Summers/Geithner puppet show needs to be retired (bring back Glass-Steagall, Larry, and stick in your overstuffed mouth). The Bernanke "don't recall" testimony is similarly hopeless. Aaargh.

I love the current Playboy observation, to wit: a novel idea, politicians (American congresspersons) should wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers, so we can tell who their sponsors are."

  • More on the Misalignment of the U.S. Treasury and Taxpayer Interests [View article]
dcb: you say "donor," I say "briber."

It's one thing to "bail out" the banks, it's another to make them even richer (at our expense). That kinda pisses me off.

And, oh yeah, the Summers puppet, the Timster- what a sorry bunch.

  • Geithner's Interview with Charlie Rose: Totally Unimpressive [View article]
I agree, Geithner is much more a "nibbler" than a gulper. God knows, let's watch him "nibble" at the problems for a few more years (along with Summers); maybe then they'll get a clue.

I like CGW a bit better than PHO. CGW has a more global focus, while PHO leans toward the US.
