  • Microsoft - Little Known Revenue Streams Have Big Potential [View article]
I think the only reason msft stock price appreciation was because of the current low interest rates environment. I will not buy it at this level. ato maybe impressive for the past few years but PM will keep on declining.

  • Gold And Silver Royalty Companies Part 3: Silver Wheaton Corp. [View article]
I been buying slw since the price drop to $34-$22 and suffered badly on unralised losses.. but just hang on hoping the fear for deflation is fading or even the deflation is happening, the cure is inflation. Both ways, the silver will bounced back sooner or later. Meanwhile, just sit on the stocks and enjoy the dividend. This company cost for acquiring silver and gold at equivalent to silver is +/- $5 and they have committed to distribute 20% of the earning as dividend. Keep our finger cross silver will not drop below $$6 or else slw will be in the red after other expenses..

  • A rash of negative commentary helped BlackBerry (RIMM -6.4%) close with big losses again; shares are now down 26% on the week. Evercore joined Credit Suisse in downgrading BlackBerry, citing steep unsubsidized pricing and limited initial availability for the Z10, and a lack of timing details about the QWERTY-featuring Q10. Canaccord and MKM are also downbeat on BB10's prospects, and shots have been fired at the Z10's low-light camera performance and (Bing-powered) mapping software. Goldman, which upgraded in November, is staying positive[View news story]
Whatever going up must come down for some reason. I think main reason for RIMM declined is simple.. overbought.

  • Bespoke's list of the S&P's most overbought stocks, based on the number of standard deviations each are trading above their respective 50-day moving averages, is noteworthy for its lack of high-fliers and its plethora of energy names: CHK, DVN, VLO, HES, PSX and MPC comprise six of the top eight. The others are PG and NFLX[View news story]
I own chk and technically still think that chk still bullish and still have rooms tothe upside with Tp $25. Fundamental, a bit tricky however, analyst mean tp is $23. TA for oil also bullish, therefore still could not find any reason to be bearish on CHK

  • Is Research In Motion's Impressive Surge About To End Badly? [View article]
I was happy taking profit at $15. I do not think want to go back into the share at this price level despite the bb10 launch. But would agree with goldman sach analysis on the binary view ( % chances on either way excluded). I viewed RIMM like a country with rich natural resources but lack of qualified human resources.

  • Currency Wars: Precious Metals Accelerate As Global Equity Cataclysm Merely Pushed Out [View article]
I agree with the author for bullish on slv but with difference reasons. I am bullish on silver and silver associated stocks and will not surprised to see silver reach the $36 again this year. All simply based on tech analyis. It is difficult to find the fundamental reasons on commodities because they does not have the financial reports for us to digest and analize. Mostly based on sentiments and speculation. Therefore, I think TA is the best approach. Monthly chart bullish, weekly chart oversold, daily chart over sold with reversal signal. Buy silver....

  • Utilize Dividend Collars With Mortgage REITs [View article]
Selling put for REITS before dividend ? In my opinion, if you can get that credit of that 30cents (which may happen if the prices keep on going up before dividend, and you need to open selling put to begin with), your strategy may works but that will be your max profit. Because you iniate position by selling put first, you are exposing the risk of owing the share cum dividend.

I do not see the point of taking the risk of getting assigned cum dividend just to get that 30cents profit. to me your strategy risk/reward is not in favor. The Author strategy is more favorable compare to yours. It is just that buying earlier expiring put and selling later covered call is better

  • Utilize Dividend Collars With Mortgage REITs [View article]
    This is an Interesing Article.
I am currently using similar strategy but prefer taking more risk by buying put14 jan13 and waiting for price spike near ex dividend to open for covered calls $15April13 for premium about the same amount with the dividend. Usually the stock prices will go up near ex dividend currently and currently daily chart suggesting that too. This covered call is to expedite the dividend payment without holding the stocks if the call option get called off and the put option to substitute the short selling cum dividend. If call option not being called off, PUT option will the hedging.

You are funny Rookie.. I turn off the spelling check for my convinient because I do type on the other language too. I am not recommending buying surface at this moments.
I am still long MSFT thought that windows 8 and windows RT will lift up the revenues but with this quality I doubt about it now. What is the market expecting 3% declining projection is in the pictures. the only good news that we might have is the new operation director could perhaps turn the table around and fix this disaster.
