  • Palm Pre Sales Appear to Stabilize at Ho Hum Levels [View article]
It does not matter how many phones they sell because Palm does not make any money out of these sales:
    A) Return rate is close to 40%
    B) Can you explain, why they are loosing 100M$ per quarter (excl. special items)

BTW, many key insiders have been dumping ALL their shares last two weeks. Hmmm...

  • Palm Pre Sales Tapering Off; Roger McNamee Eating Crow on iPhone Prediction [View article]
The return rate of Palm Pre is very high. One guy made a mathematical proof at
    finance.google.com/gro...
The result: return rate 38% (yes, thirty-eight). I'm not sure if this is correct, but if you go to the store and ask people, there are many who say this was second or third time.

  • Contrarian Short Base Rises for Palm [View article]
The return rate of Palm "the Brie" Pre is very high (around 30%) and competition will eat the margins. This is commodity business in one year (Nokia, etc. drive the prices down).

Palm needs to raise capital to survive, which means that they probably convert the prefered shares to dilute the existing shareholders. I can not really understand why people are so hyped about this (ok, Palm is in Silicon Valley, which is great place - visited once, but still). It's only piece of hardware and software.
