Ebay is like the government. When the government raises taxes the result is a drops of productivity. The drop in productivity results in les overall tax revenue even though they raised taxes. This is the same with eBay. The company raised its fees and the net result is less people selling on eBay. Less people selling on eBay results in less profit overall.
