Dr. Von Pfeil completely ignored the supreme correlation between the US and world markets. His argument would have held water, perhaps 15-20 years ago, but not today. China's economy is still an ant compared to the US.
So, for all the "supreme" strategic growth of China's economy, its stocks will be way in the doghouse, should the US markets decline. Pure and simple.
