  • Chesapeake Trust: A 14% Protected Yield In Energy  [View article]
At present Im holding CHKR,originally I held CHK getting almost nothing in return.until finally I had quite enough so I sold me entire CHK position and bought CHKR with the funds and I never looked back. This way I get a decent return and should stay that way into the forseeable future. But with oil we must be vigilant

Christopher I got in at 16 some I have no beef, If nit goed down further I will buy as I caught some of it recent turns. The company had a very able leader and he passed away. I thought it might be a body blow but the company survives and then along came CREXUS. Its a survivor.

  • What If The Secular Bear Market Is Not Over?  [View article]
I believe that so far most of us have done well during the past 10 to 15 years but now comes the difficult times. WEhave to push forward methodically nothing outlandish. 6th grade stuff watch the earnings, look for good management and dont go for the homerun on a daily basis. If we learned anything from the great depression its dollars and cents. Companies cannot pay out what they dont have to start with

your valid comments going through all the pros and cons and Ive come up with a few facts. China is not our friend but they dont mind giving us advice(because we owe them so much money. However, we still let them have Iraqi oil cheap.(because we protect it) They dont. They never vote with us in UN against Iran. How stupid are we??? I dont get it at all.

  • MORL Declares Monthly Dividend, The First Reflecting Recent mREIT Cuts In The New Interest Rate Environment  [View article]
Lance I think we can both agree that the 6/13 cuts by both NLY and AGNC were due to fear and not caution. If I remember rightly NLY lost their leader at that time and he was a good one. Possibly he even had CREXUS up his sleeve at that time who knows and hes not talking.

  • Verizon Might Jump Into Canada: Exciting Or Not?  [View article]
About two years ago my wife asked me to buy her about 50 shares of VZ and that it was selling for 40 dollars per share. It seems that she had been watching Jim Kramer on Fast Money and was taken by his description or prediction as to what the stock would do. Well VZ went up about three points the following week and then followed the rest of the market going downward. One day I looked and Verizon was selling around 24-25. Ifelt that since I spent 43 for my wifes purchase a year previous why not try to get some for my account then, Fortunately I was able to get 200 @ 25 and you might say I never looked backwards. Now VZ is looking to get bigger and get a piece of Alaska as well as Canada life is funny that way.As we used to say on the RR ALL AHEAD FULL it would be great for all of us if more busynesses could emulate Verizon. Is Jim Kramer listening I think so.

  • Vanguard Natural Resources And Enhanced Oil Recovery  [View article]
Well this past March I bought 10 shares of VNR as a novelty since the overall market wasnt doing much at the time. I had sold CHK and was glad to get out of that situation. Later on many people got enchanted with Aubrey Mac and I think that right now hes out. Anyway VNR looks like a complete differebt animal than CHK. Its under the Vanguard banner and has great potential or thats how it seems now. Veremos a ver Yes, we^ll wait and see.

  • Annaly Dividends Should Benefit From The Current Interest Rate Environment  [View article]
Well here we are a year later and the average investor who had little by little was cutting their respective balancrs in NLY>It was a company that seemed to be doing it by mirrors and then their head man passed away. Was there panic in the streets no, but the rank and file seened to read the handwriting on the wall get out of NLY. If you were waiting for the high dividend*quarterly)you did so at your peril. But those of us who decided to get wait for another quarterly dividend we got the best of both worlds because 1)Along came Bernanke who tried to balance fhe money markets flooding areas to keep the markets artificially static(the printing press saturation method) and also the merger of CREXus and NLY halped os all to delay our decisions for the time being BUT were we wise or jusy lucky this time. Only time will tell. The Good News is that Bernankes term is almost over. So it looks like well wrestle with the decision again in a few months. Good Luck to all.

  • Compare And Contrast ARCP And COLE  [View article]
Brad about 10 months ago we felt that the Cole deal which was then only a rumor was something that ARCP. did not need. Fortunately Coles management veered away even though the stockholders seemed to want the deal.So A RCP went their merry way and very soon they ran into the deal with GE which I like a lot, So can we say alls well that ends well.? I would say so and maybe a price of 20 before the end of the year as well as two more dividend increases. All ahead full.

  • Frontier Will Maintain Its 10.5% Dividend Yield  [View article]
Philip Morris and FTR is this somekind of a joke.At the present time Im holding FTR about 200 shares but sweating it out on a daily basis. Also I have MO instead of Philip Morris. With MO I sleep at night but for the last two years Ive been sweating out FTR. The gunny thing is that somehow FTR has grown wings and may make something out of itself.. I GUESS WELL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE. Strange things happen all the time in the market look at Century they cut the dividend early this year,
