Infosys: Offshore Providers Expand Onsite Presence

Up to 80% of the U.S. workforce for these companies are Indian citizens? Here on H-1b and L-1 visa. The H-1b visa was only meant to be used if a company could not find a local U.S. candidate. These companies are really abusing the H-1b visa. These Indian IT outsourcing companies are not even trying to find local candidates. Unless they are pressured by the U.S. Congress.

What does that tell you? H-1b is all about getting cheapest labor in, not the best and the brightest. H-1b is being used to outsource million of U.S. jobs to India. H-1b does not create jobs, it destroys jobs, and is in need of serious reform, to close all the abuse-holes.

If these companies are only now thinking about hiring locally, and only because they feel pressure. Then these companies must be forced, under threat of proscecution, to make a good faith effort to hire local U.S. candidates, before they are allowed to use the H-1b or L-1 visa.

Because that is all these abusers respond to.
